2.1 General Word Order

 Subject + Verb + Object (SVO)

o Example: She (S) eats (V) an apple (O).

2.2 Placement of Adverbs and Complements

Explain where each type of modifier typically goes:

1. Manner (How?):

o Comes after the verb or object.

o Example: She sings beautifully.

o Example: He reads books slowly.

2. Place (Where?):

o Usually comes after the verb/manner.

o Example: They work at the office.

o Example: She dances gracefully on the stage.

3. Frequency (How often?):

o Before the main verb or after an auxiliary verb.

4. Time (When?):

o Generally at the end or beginning.

o Example: We met yesterday.

5. Purpose (Why?):

o At the end, introduced by to + verb or for + noun.
