The Night That Changed Everything
It was a cold and silent night when Aarav missed the last bus home. The streetlights
flickered, and the road looked unusually empty. With no other option, he decided to
walk through a shortcut that passed an old abandoned park. Though his heart raced
with fear, he gathered courage and moved forward.
As Aarav entered the park, he heard faint cries coming from behind a cluster of trees. At
first, he ignored the sound, thinking it was only his imagination. But the cries grew
louder and more desperate. Overcoming his fear, he followed the sound and found a
young boy trapped under a fallen tree branch. The boy’s leg was injured, and he was
shivering in pain.
Aarav quickly removed his jacket and wrapped it around the boy to keep him warm. He
tried calling for help, but there was no signal on his phone. Remembering his father’s
advice to stay calm during emergencies, Aarav used his torch to signal towards the
road. After several tense minutes, a security guard noticed the light and rushed into the
park.
The guard called for an ambulance, and the boy was taken to the hospital. Aarav waited
until the boy’s parents arrived. They thanked him repeatedly for his bravery and
kindness. The police officer present praised Aarav for not running away when he could
have.
As Aarav finally walked home that night, the fear he once felt was replaced by a quiet
sense of pride. He realised that courage is not the absence of fear but the decision to
do what is right despite it. That night, Aarav understood that even a simple act of
kindness can change someone’s life forever.
Moral: True courage lies in helping others, even when we are afraid.

How to Write a Story – Extremely Detailed
Guide
Step 1: Understand the Topic
Before writing a story, carefully read the question or topic.
Sometimes you may get:
• A title
• A moral
• Pictures
• Some hints or keywords
First think about what the story could be about.
Example:
Title: A Brave Child
Think → danger, helping someone, saving someone.
Step 2: Plan the Story
Good writers plan before writing.
You can quickly plan in 4 parts:
1. Characters – Who is in the story?
2. Setting – Where and when does it happen?
3. Problem – What goes wrong?
4. Solution – How is the problem solved?
Example plan:

Solution: Rohan calls help and saves him
Step 3: Write the Beginning
The beginning should introduce the story clearly.
Include:

Example:

Here you should:
• Introduce the problem

• Build suspense
• Show feelings
Example:
Suddenly, they heard a loud cry. One of the younger students had slipped into a deep
pit behind the field.
Step 5: Create the Climax
The climax is the most exciting moment of the story.
This is where the main action happens.
Example:
Without wasting a moment, Rohan ran to the spot and tried to pull the boy out while
calling for help.
Step 6: Write the Ending
The ending should:
• Solve the problem
• Feel complete
• Sometimes include a moral
Example:
Soon the teachers arrived and rescued the boy. Everyone praised Rohan for his bravery.
