Connecting fittings from Hettich are simply unbeatable. There's a purpose-designed connecting fitting for every application. Often in a choice of materials and finishes. The emphasis is on strong connections quickly made. Once installed the fittings are inconspicuous, or in some cases completely concealed.
Solid connections
Cam connecting fittings from Hettich are inconspicuous furniture fittings for positive and non-positive connection of shelves and side panels. Readily accessible, they make sure furniture can be assembled and dismantled easily. The notched cam face of the shelf.

Rapid S
Easy to use, even at whirlwind speed, and tough as nails. It takes just one quick burst of power to turn in a Twister. The grooved plastic sleeve almost does the job for you, making sure the Twister goes in straight and true. No matter how fast you work, theres no chance of screwing up. The end result is a very solid connection. The dowel is as firm as a rock, with the sleeve filling the drill hole completely. Twister sleeves are colour-coded for quick identification, so you cant go wrong when you pick a Twister.
The new quick-connect dowel with a steel pin. Slender, light and immensely strong. Assembly requires no tools the dowel is simply pressed in by hand. Rapid S and Rastex together make a perfect pair.

The fitting is pressed into the 20 mm cut-away hole. The slotted version can be pressed in by hand. The shelf is inserted from above. Shelf assembly aid. The shelf with the VB 135 is simply pressed onto the dowel. The shelf is securely wedged against the side panel. Use for 16 mm shelves or thicker! Hole pattern identical to VB 35.

Block connecting fittings
Permanent connecting fitting for universal applications. This inconspicuous connecting fitting consists of a threaded stud and knock-in socket with spring steel disc. Components can be joined easily and permanently by pressing together by hand. Small but powerful, as documented by a pull-out force of 800 N in numerous tests.

Item TZ 4 TD block connecting fitting Simple assembly via special clip-on feature. Metal upper and lower parts. Swelling/shrinkage of solid wood is compensated by up to 4 mm by the oval hole. The TZ 4 all-metal connecting fitting is especially easy to use because the screwdriver is held at an angle.
