Parrot Papercraft Model Instructions

This document provides instructions for constructing a paper parrot model. It includes a diagram showing where to cut and fold the two pieces that make up the parrot. The instructions explain how to crease the curved folds on the back and tail, insert tabs into slots to form the wings and body, and fold the tail into a V-shape for balance when flying the completed model. Sticky tack is suggested to provide weight in the head for proper balance during flight.

Cut out the two pieces of the model with a craft knife on a cutting mat (dont let young children do this part). Pay careful attention to the cutting guide (solid black lines) or creases/folds (dashed lines).

SLOT 2

SLOT 1

Crease the curved folds along the centre of the back and tail. Slide Tab 1 (on the wings) into Slot 1 on the birds back and then Tab 2 into Slot 2. This will make the wings curve realistically. Fold the sides of the body together and fasten Tab 3 to Slot 3.
