Incident: Suspicious Package I.R. #: 2013-09972 Date: April 26, 2013 Location: Madison Avenue Summary of Incident: On Friday, April 26, 2013 Morris Township Police Officers responded to a JCP&L facility located on Madison Avenue for a report of a suspicious package left on the loading dock. Officers on scene were assisted by the Morris Township Fire Dept., the Morris County Bomb Squad, the Morris County Prosecutors Office, and K9 & Crime Scene Personnel from the Morris County Sherriffs Dept.. Closer investigation revealed that the package that was making a beeping sound was a piece of equipment that had been sent inter-agency for repairs. The facility resumed normal operations shortly after the package was cleared.
Incident: DWI I.R. #: 2013-10030 Date: April 27, 2013 Location: Speedwell Avenue (SR 202) Summary of Incident: On Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 01:13 am, Ptl. Clay Boeninghaus stopped a black 2007 VW for allegedly traveling without headlights on. Upon making contact with the driver, Gabriel Lugo of Hackensack probable cause was developed to believe he was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. After he was taken into custody, he was transported to Police HQ where he refused to provide breath samples for analysis. The defendant was charged with DWI, Refusal to provide breath samples, Reckless driving, and Failure to use headlights when required. Incident: DWI I.R. #: 2013-10034 Date: April 27, 2013 Location: Route 287 Summary of Incident: On Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 2:02 am, Ptl Chistopher Tongring stopped a blue 2005 Toyota for speeding and weaving. After making contact with the driver, Charles Eluwa Jr. probable cause to believe he was operating the vehicle while intoxicated was found and he was arrested for drunk driving. After he was taken into custody he was transported to Police HQ. The defendant was charged with DWI, Reckless driving, Failure to maintain lane, and Maintenance of lamps. When he completed processing, he was released pending a future date in Morris Township Municipal Court. Suspect/Defendant: Name: Charles Eluwa Jr. SEX: M Age: 22 Town: Maplewood, NJ

Incident: DWI I.R. #: 2013-10036 Date: April 27, 2013 Location: East Hanover Avenue Summary of Incident: On Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 03:09 am, Ptl. Clay Boeninghaus stopped a blue 2013 VW for allegedly failing to observe a traffic signal. Upon making contact with the driver, Damion Prashad of Jefferson he claimed he only spoke French and didnt understand English. A French speaking officer was on scene and quickly determined that Prashad did not speak fluent French. Probable cause was developed to believe he was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. After he was taken into custody, he was transported to Police HQ where he provided breath samples to determine his level of intoxication. The defendant was charged with Hindering his apprehension, Driving with a revoked license, DWI, Reckless driving, Failure to observe a traffic control device, Improper backing, and Failure to exhibit a vehicle registration or valid insurance.
