Pre-Production Risk Assessment Guide

The document outlines potential risks that could occur before, during, and after a film production. It notes that the location may already be booked, cast members could fall ill, and test shots may need to be done on the day of production. After filming, footage may need to be re-shot if the location is unavailable or weather has changed. The camera battery could run out if scenes take longer than expected. Costumes and props could be damaged during travel to outer locations. Footage could be lost without proper backup. Weather such as rain or wind could also impact the production. A backup plan is needed in case the cast member does not arrive as planned.

BEFORE PRODUCTION STARTS-

Our location could be being used for something. Therefore we shall check before hand for any events/festivals.

Our cast member could fall ill before the actual production, or could have some emergency come up, making it hard for us to do our test shots. If this was to happen, then we would run a few test shots on the day of the production.

AFTER PRODUCTION-

We may need to re-shoot some footage, and may not be able to do so, because are chosen location is being used for certain events, OR because the weather is different. However in order for this not to happen.. we will review each scene footage after it has been shot.

Our camera could run out of battery, if the scenes take longer to originally shoot, and get right. This really shouldnt happen, but if it does, the majority of the production will be filmed indoors, so we could easily recharge the battery, but when out filming in London we will take an extra fully charged battery.

RISK ASSESSMENT.
The props/costumes of the cast could get destroyed or ruined, which is why she will be wearing it only whilst filming. While travelling to out outer locations, she will have a separate pair of clothes to get changed into.

If we are not careful, we could potentially lose some of our footage. In order for this not to happen, once we have filmed, we will back up the footage on a hard drive or on some ones computer.

Things which could go wrong, BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER our Production for Letters.

Even though we will check the weather before hand, it may start raining or there may be heavy winds. Light rain will be effective for our video, however if there are strong winds which would disturb the cast member and her costume we may end up changing to some indoor locations in Central London. Our cast member may not turn up, which would mean that we will need to have a backup plan just in case this was to happen (but it really shouldnt)
