Our Philosophy
At the foundation of our business is a fundamental commitment to Our Credo, which was written in 1943 by Robert Wood Johnson, then Chief Executive Officer and son of one of the Companys founders. Our Credo eloquently defines the common values of our employees and establishes the business values and philosophy that guide all our operating companies worldwide. Our Credo puts patients and customers first, then our employees, our communities and our shareholders. With Our Credo as a foundation, our long-standing operating model has four strategic principles: being broadly based in human health; managing our business for the long term; taking a decentralized management approach; and focusing on our people and values. In todays highly competitive global marketplace, it is also essential that we focus on the critical drivers of our future growth: to create value through innovation, to extend our global reach with local focus, to execute with excellence in everything we do, and to inspire leadership with purpose among the people who carry on the Johnson & Johnson legacy.
