REVIT FILL PATTERNS
There are two KEY types of patterns in revit to be used within our documentation: Drafting and Model. Each of the two types are meant to be tasked in different ways depending on the need to show that pattern in all views or just in the active view, independently as a filled region or through the use of materials. Changes applied my adversely affect other areas of the project. As with everything else in the software, caution should be exercised before blindly changing any existing pattern and use the Duplicate option to introduce or edit patterns in the project. The samples shown are not exclusive of any use of pattern type or file and are shown as a visual reference to assist in finding one that you may need. **NOTE** Not all pattern files are made equal. Some patterns are too large for Revit to display and the software will not let you use it. Also, some patterns may be too dense and show as a solid until it is "zoomed" in to show it properly. I have added a "Pattern Files" folder to the root of the software content folder which contains respective folders for both Drafting and Model pattern files. A seperate handout will be generated if needed on the specifics of regions and thier use. SCALE FACTOR SHOWN PATTERN FILE NAME by Douglas Campbell 7/13/2013 8:29:41 AM
