Suggested Materials: Loose-leaf paper, a folder or notebook, blue or black pens
Course Objectives:
1. To reflect upon Gods plan for salvation as revealed in the Hebrew Scriptures.
2. To contemplate Jesus incarnation, earthly life, and mission.
3. To gain an understanding of how Gods plan for salvation is fulfilled in Jesus death,
Resurrection, and ascension.
4. To explore how the Paschal Mystery relates to your own life.
5. To discuss the relationship between the Paschal Mystery and prayer.
Class Expectations:
1. Treat others how you would like to be treated. Respect, courtesy, and kindness must be
shown at all times. Be appropriate.
2. To ask a question or make a comment, raise your hand. Do not talk while the teacher is
talking, during tests, or while a classmate is contributing to a class discussion.
3. Come to class on time and prepared. If you are not in your seat when the bell rings, you
will be marked tardy. Remain seated until dismissed by the bells.
4. Bring the necessary materials to class every daythis includes your notes, Bible, textbook,
and homework. You are required to bring your Bible to class daily.
5. Full participation in required. If you are doing homework, talking. Sleeping, etc. you are not
fully participating.
6. Cheating and plagiarism are not tolerated. Academic honesty is required.
7. Homework must be neat and complete prior to the beginning of the class. Late work is
marked down by 50% and will not be accepted past the end of the phase in which it was
assigned. If you are absent, it is your responsibility to get missed work, arrange to take a
test, etc.
8. Homework should be done on loose-leaf paper in dark ink or typed.
9. Tests must be made up within a week of an absence.
10. Backpacks, purses, etc. must be kept under the desk.
11. Know and observe the rules in the Student Handbook.
12. Technology agreement-all tablets shall remain in back packs unless otherwise indicated.
Consequences: Disregarding the class expectations will result in one or more of the following
consequences: a written assignment, detention, a conference with parents, and / or a meeting with
administration.

Grading Scale: 100%-98%=A+
97%-93%=A 76%-73%=c
92%-90%=A- 72-70%=C-
89%-87%=B+ 69%-67%=D+
86%-83%=B 66%-63%=D
82%-80%=B- 62%-60%=D-
79%-77%=C+ 59% and below=F
You are graded on a point system. For example, if a test is worth 50 points and you earn 45/50,
you have 90%, an A-.
To earn an academic award for Religion, you have to earn 97% both semesters.
