US Leadership Scholarship
2014
Organization of Latin American Students
and
Illinois Education Association
Application Deadline: November 25, 2014 by 4pm
The Organization of Latin American Students at Harold Washington College is dedicated to presenting the
various Latino cultures and to bringing awareness to the issues affecting them. O.L.A.S. also works to
create opportunities for the advancement of its members and the H.W.C. student body. The Illinois
Education Association strives to provide social, financial, and educational resources for future educators.
With these missions in mind, O.L.A.S. and I.E.A. have created this scholarship in recognition of an often
unrecognized demographic of devoted students facing financial difficulty. The US Leadership Scholarship
will be awarded to Harold Washington College students who are of low income and who do not qualify
for FAFSA. This scholarship is open to undocumented students. Selected students will receive an award
of a maximum of $1,300 in financial assistance. Only SGA officers, including undocumented students,
who get their full tuition waived by the City Colleges of Chicago won’t be eligible to apply as per SGA.
Top applicants will be called in for an interview. If you have any questions, please contact us at:
