Forgiveness
by Barry S. Maltese
If you try to reach inside of your heart
you can find forgiveness or at least the start
and from that place where you can forgive
is where Hope, and Love, also thrive and live
And with each step that you try to take
and with that chance that your heart might break
Comes so much happiness, and so much strength
which Alone can carry you a fantastic length
For hate and anger will not get you there
and though you say that you just don't care
You can easily avoid the pain on which hate feeds
. . . the kind of hurt that no one needs
Just make the move, take that first stride
let go of the thing known as "Foolish Pride"
Maybe then you can start to repair the past
into something strong, that will mend, and last!
Forgiveness Rose Michael
Forgiveness is a conscious
choice
It must begin first in your head
In an aware and planned way
What was done then, is now
okay
Wasn't right when it was done
Sometime change engenders
dread
Forever it will not be right
Forgiveness does not change
Sincerity involves the heart
Need to realize time to let go
Monsters live and thrive in
the dark
the past
Does not erase what was done
then
The years are passing too fast
Pain involved in having to grow
No consent for enabling
Prison caused by anger and hurt
Trust is not something that is
free
Forgiveness is a conscious
Time to move on with living
Thoughts are ever turning
backward
Have been thinking of forgiving
decision
Trust is destroyed for you and
me
When I have it all worked out
I shall write for you a letter
Leaving it for you to read
Will never be okay, never
Forgiving does not mean to say
When I am gone, this is better

If I Should Die Tonight
by Tony Abross
If I should die tonight,
My friends would look upon my quiet face,
Before they laid me in my resting place,
And deem that death had left it almost fair,
And laying snow-white flowers against my hair,
Would smooth it down with tearful tenderness,
And fold my hands with lingering caress -Poor hands, so empty and so cold tonight!
If I should die tonight,
My friends would call to mind with loving thought
Some kindly deed the icy hand had wrought;
Some gentle word the frozen lips had said;
Errands on which the willing feet had sped.
The memory of my selfishness and pride,
My hasty words, would all be put aside,
And so I should be loved and mourned tonight.
If I should die tonight,
Even hearts estranged would turn once more to me,
Recalling other days remorsefully.
The eyes that chill me with averted glance
Would look upon me as of yore, perchance
Would soften in the old familiar way;
For who would war with dumb, unconscious clay?
So I might rest, forgiven of all tonight.
Oh friends, I pray tonight
Keep not your kisses for my dead, cold brow;
The way is lonely, let me feel them now.
Think gently of me; I am travel worn;
My faltering feet are pierced with many thorns.
Forgive, O hearts estranged, forgive, I plead!
When dreamless rest is mine I shall not need
The tenderness for which I long tonight
Forgiveness by Emily
To forgive
Is not to forget.
To forgive
Is really to remember
That nobody is perfect
That each of us stumbles
When we want so much to stay upright
That each of us says things
We wish we had never said
That we can all forget that love
Is more important than being right.
To forgive
Is really to remember
That we are so much more
Than our mistakes
That we are often more kind and caring
That accepting others' flaws
Can help us accept our own.
To forgive
Is to remember
That the odds are pretty good
that we might soon need to be forgiven ourselves.
That life sometimes gives us more
Than we can handle gracefully.
To forgive
Is to remember
That we have room in our hearts to
Begin again
And again,
And again.
The Rock by Xiao Fang Zhou
Time has the power to heal all wounds,
But the power of forgiveness is beyond time;
Moving the rock that is in your heart,
The spirit of light will raise you up.
The answers are found already in your heart,
And you have the power to move that rock;
By changing yourself, others will change,
Peace on earth will not be contained.
Winter long gone, the spring has arrived,
Awakened land is near at hand;
Life has profound purpose,
Just yield and enjoy the journey.
Hearts are connected when hands touch hands,
Boundaries were set by lower mind;
Free the mind and soul becomes itself,
You are touched by endless time.
Forgiveness
Forgiveness is what God has bestowed upon us
It shows how much He loves us
We must be thankful about that
Forgiveness is the highest
And most beautiful form of love
In return will achieve peace and happiness
Forgive others
And forgive ourselves
Ask forgiveness of those we have trespassed against
Forgiving continuously is a very hard thing to do
Just put the trust and faith in God
Hell do the whole thing
Hell let the pain, anger and hatred fade away
Forgive and forget everything
Let God cleanse all our sins
Its truly for us to move on with our lives
To open our hearts- to be in love again
To lift our spirit- to give encouragement and help the weak
To open our mind towards better understanding
Hold my hands by Pegham Khan
When I am full with anger
I think in angers term
Part of my existing life
Is full of angers germs
Nothing seems a perfect right
Most of things gone wrong
I get such vengeful feelings
When I carry anger along
When I think about forgiveness
I think in forgiveness terms
My life is held in gentle hands
Softly in those twists and turns
Very few are perfect wrongs
So many things are right
Show me God forgiveness face
So I can live in light
Never Meant to Hurt You
You never told me how you felt
How deep your feelings ran
Im sorry I was blind to see
What was there for me to hold
My heart aches for how I hurt you
The insensitivity that I showed
Please know I never meant it
I simply did not know
I am not a perfect being
As a person, I make mistakes
But know that I love you
It grows more each passing day
Lets put the past behind us
Learn how to trust again
For your heart I do not want to break
But embrace for days to come
I want to see this new love grow
Into something more than I can imagine
Please find it in your heart to forgive
These past things that once took place
I am awed that you have chosen me
To share this time in your life
I promise to give you all I have
For a chance to love again
