Description
Kaiser Permanente is an integrated managed care consortium, based in
Oakland, California, United States, founded in 1945. Kaiser Permanente
is made up of three distinct groups of entities: the Kaiser Foundation
Health Plan and its regional operating subsidiaries; Kaiser Foundation
Hospitals; and the autonomous regional Permanente Medical Groups.
Kaiser Permanente operates in nine states and the District of Columbia,
and is the largest managed care organization in the United States.
The Outpatient Pharmacy Replacement (OPPR) project is an initiative
aimed at replacement of Legacy Outpatient Pharmacy Information
Management System (PIMS) across all regions of Kaiser Permanente
Program. Data conversion is the effort within this project responsible for
converting pharmacy data residing in Legacy systems into the new PDX
Enterprise Pharmacy system (EPS). The objective of the project is to
validate the data for Source (Stage0) Target (Stage1_EPS Tables)
Target (EPS Application) for the regions and verifying the masked data
before distributing to other Teams. Data warehouse deals with the
Transactional revenues and expenses from the source systems(EPS)
and to populate these transactions into the GL Data Mart
Kaiser Permanente Outpatient Pharmacy and Mail Order Pharmacy
financial transactions (Expense and Revenue) are extracted from Point Of
Sale Oracle System, processed, and reported/posted to the General
Ledger (GL).The DW components ODS, Bridge Feed will capture and
identify process and send valid financial events like Sales and Revenue ,
from ePIMS (EPS) to One Link for posting to the GL

Responsibilities
Involved in Data Migration of source data from Oracle tables and flat
files into target tables and flat files.
Understanding the Business rules completely and implemented data
transformation methodologies.
Designed complex mappings using various transformations like
Source Qualifier, Aggregator, Look Up, Union, Stored Procedure,
Joiner, Expression, Sequence Generator, Router and Update Strategy
transformation.
Applied slowly changing dimensions like Type 1,2,3 effectively to
handle the incremental Loads.
Implemented SCD - Type2 mapping for accessing the full history of
accounts and transaction information.
Designed workflows with various tasks like Session, Command, Timer,
Decision and Event Wait.
Tuned the performance of mappings by following Informatica best
practices and also applied several methods to get best performance
by decreasing the run time of workflows.
Design the mapping to load the data into the target based on primary,
foreign key relationship(constrained based load order)
Design a mapping to process the incremental changes that exits in
the source table.
Writing PL-SQL procedures for implementing complex logic for data
loading.
