LESSON TITLE
Causes and Effects of Subfertility in Males

SPECIFIC SUBJECT
Subfertility
III.
TITLE QUALIFICATION
Subfertility is failure of a couple to conceive after one year
of regular, unprotected sexual intercourse. It is a form of
tissue malignancy that can be fatal if not treated. This
Lesson Plan will mainly focus on the Causes and Effects of
Subfertility in Males.

FOCUS GROUP
Infertile Males Aging 20 45 Years of age.
V.
PLAN OBJECTIVES
At the end of a 30 minutes Health Education Contact, the
focus group will be able to:
(Cognitive) (1) Define Subfertility/Infertility. (2) Enumerate
causes of Subfertility in males. (3) Explain the effects of
Subfertility in males.
(Sensory Motor) (1) Perform Testicular Self-Examination
correctly. (2) Execute a plan to enhance testicular
protection from some factors. (3) Demonstrate proper
routine that will be beneficial and not compromising to
the testicles.
(Affective) (1) Relate urgency by relating situations about
the topic. (2) Augment interaction with biblical contexts
and verses.
VI.
MOTIVATIONAL STYLE
The Educator will be using a combined presentation of an
Experiential Approach and Picture Approach. In the
Experiential Approach, the educator will be sharing an
experience of certain persons, while in the Picture
Approach, the educator will be presenting real pictures of
Reproductive Problems or Conditions that may cause
Subfertility.
VII.
PLAN METHODOLOGY
The Educator will be using a Class Discussion Method and
Media Presentation. This will be possible by presentation
of facts regarding Male Subfertility and its Causes and
Effects.
The
Educator
will
also
provide
Video
Presentations. In the process, Discussion questions will be
given before, during and after the entire discussion, to
facilitate interactive learning between the Educator and
the Focus Group. This process will be ended with actual
experience based questions of the focus group and
answers will be provided based on theoretical sources and
resource persons.

MATERIALS NEEDED
Here are the Needed Physical Materials for the Plan: (1)
Laptop, (2) Projector (3) LCD Screen (4) Prepared
Powerpoint with Pictures (5) Male Reproductive System

Reaction and Summary of the Discussion
The Educator will be using an oral question and oral
answer type of measuring learning. There will be enough
individual questions for each member of the focus group
and then one question will be ask from each person, of
which if the answer is insufficient other members can
collectively help in completing the needed answers. This
will push through until the last member of the focus group
will be given the chance to be asked a question.
Questions to be asked:
(1) What is the Purpose of the Testicles?
(2) What is Subfertility?
(3) What is the difference between Primary and Secondary
Subfertility?
(4) What are the Factors of Male Subfertility?
(5) What is the Purpose of TSE?
(6) What are the Effects of Subfertility?
XI.
PRESENTATION APPEAL
The Educator will be appreciating everyone for the
learning that was done. However, while listening and note
taking during the Presentation of the Evaluation Strategy,
listed areas where there is lesser learning or unclear
learning, Educator will be giving emphasis to the
members of the focus group to learn more. Suggestion of
books or other materials that can help will also be
encouraged. Comparison of present learning with their
Attending Physician will also be greatly encouraged.
