Chapter 9 Security
Security function is used to restrict the operation authorization of each user. If you select the
Tools Security menu, the dialog box to register, delete and edit a user will appear. The
security level can be assigned from 1 to 100. And Level 1 has the highest authorization.
Refer to the Chapter 13 of the CIMON Tutorial for the examples of the security.
Configuration of Security Window
If you select the Security in the Tools menu, the Security Configuration to restrict the
operation authorization of a user will appear.
Base Security Level
This is used to assign a base security level. The level can be
assigned from 1 to 100. The base security level means the
operation level without login.
New User
This is used to set up a new user. If you press this button, a Security
Properties dialog box will appear. Enter the User ID, the Level, the
Name, the Action When Log In and Action When Log out in the
dialog box.

User ID This ID is used as the key value to distinguish users.
It can be set up in the combination of English, Korean, numeric and
special character.
Level
This is used to set up a security level. The value can be set up
from 1 to 100. The security level is the item to restrict the
authorization of a user. You can select it from 1 to 100. That is, 1 is
the highest level and 100 is the lowest level. To the person with a
high level, the authorization to his won level and lower is granted.
For example, the user with level 10 has the authorization from 10
to 100.
Applicable control functions: Button, Touch, Data-In, and Hot key
Name
This is the name of a user.
It can be set up in the combination of English, Korean, numeric and
special character.
Password
This is used to set up the new password of a project.
The limited conditions are as follows.
1. It can be set up in the combination of English and numeric.
2. Special character or space is not available.
3. Maximum 8 characters are available.
4.
When you enter it, it is displayed as ********. If you blank
this item, no password will be considered.

Security
Action When Log In
This is used to register the action when a user log in. For
example, to run the script to increase the value of a tag
continuously when a user log in, write the command to run
the script.
Action When Log Out
This is used to register the action when a user log out. For
example, write the command to exit a script.
Delete
This is used to delete a registered user. If you select the user ID deleted and
press the Delete button, the Confirm dialog box will appear. If you want to
delete, select the Yes. Otherwise, select the No.
Edit
If you select the user ID with the mouse and press the Security Properties,
the dialog box same as the one for the New User will appear. You can edit
the items about the user.
