President....Missionary Bridgette Payton

1st Quarter
Nurses Agenda
1. The Nurse Guild is attempting to become C.P.R. certified. The nurses guild is also attempting to
become unified, with clean uniforms, shoes, under garments only to be worn on the Sunday one is
scheduled to nurse.
2. The nurses guild is having a platform service in June to stock up the nurses cabinet in order to have
everything we may need. Also we would try to give every nurse $15.00 on a new uniform or shoes.
The nurses must push this platform service extra special in order to reimburse the church for the
$30.00 cost of each book needed for C.P.R. certification.
3. We would love to be the best Nurses Guild that Pastor Russell C. Bell needs for us to be. We will let
the LORD use us in the way it should go in 2008 and beyond.

February 2008 - held our 2nd annual Prayer Breakfast

During the convocation each pastors aide committee is asked to present their pastor with a Good
Shepherds offering. State Tabernacle exceeded the target of $2000.

The angel of our house, Pastor Russell Bell is such a humble servant that he declined an anniversary this
year. We did put on a Memphis Drive in October to help prepare him for his trip to the National
Convocation in Memphis.

PURITY CALSS
President / Purity Lady... Mother Doris Russell
1st Quarter
Submitted by Mother Doris L. Russell
The Purity class meets the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. We collect no due, but rely on money from
the kitchen made on the 4th Sunday of each month to cover any expenses Purity may have. These expenses may
consist of giving money for any special day such as Pastors anniversary, Womens week, Womens Day and
Mother Peaces day. The money also helps to defray the cost of any outing or special thing that Purity wants to
do (making brownies, cakes, cookies, having pizza and wings).
Our plans for the future include, collecting for a person in the Armed Forces, having a dinner for the Puritan
Mothers and going bowling.
During our class we discuss many things. The importance of God in our lives, being saved, teenage pregnancy,
drugs, and many things that the Puritans want to talk about. We pray for others and discuss the importance of
being the best that you can be with the help of God. There is also a booklet from COGIC that provides
structured exercises for Purity Class.
It is very difficult to execute any plan due to inconsistent attendance. I am hopeful that my new assistant will
help turn things around.

Clothing and Food Ministry

Chairperson..Sister Laverne Ware

Mission
To help people dress for success, church, school and play. We would also like to help with food items. Our
hope is to give a way for you to cope by supplying these things; love, nourishment and clothing. State Tabernacle invites you and your family to worship with us. Here are some of the things we offer.

Fellowship

Hope

I Corinthians 1:19
Acts 17:31
Psalms 7:8
II Corinthians 3:4
Romans 8:24-25

I contacted The Food Bank of Western New York. I was told that there were too many food banks in our area.
What was offered is a soup kitchen, an after school program or a kids caf. Sister Webb took the information
to Damone Smith. He said he would see what he could do to help the church. Kelly services coordinator said
the food pantry needed to be up and running 6 months before they will even consider coming in. I would like
to ask the church members to bring in can goods to start building up our pantry.
As far as the clothing ministry we have clothing to give away. I have asked members and others for winter
clothing. I asked for volunteers with little success. Because we have limited space we will give the overflow
to City Mission and other organizations. I would like to send a slinger to area churches and business to inform
them about our clothing ministry.

Goals.
To continue to educate the choir members of the purpose (reason) Why we sing and how much of a role we
play in the ministry. We have learned new songs and will continue to learn songs that are fitting for our church
and prayerfully that will condition the heart of Gods people to receive the word.
Highlights.
As of this past quarter we have gone on approximately three singing engagements. Two of which we
accompanied Pastor. We also participated in the State Tabernacle Sings Concert.
We have received a couple of recent invitations which need to be verified by pastor.
Within the next rehearsals we will agree upon an amount for dues and it should be paid monthly.

The key challenges faced by the Sunday School included poor attendance in the young women's and senior high female classes, a need to increase the general attendance and participation across all classes, and the absence of some teachers due to illness or personal issues. To address these challenges, the Sunday School leadership set goals to increase attendance and weekly offerings, revised the General Review Process to be more productive and informational, and utilized substitute teachers to fill in for those absent .

Elder Russell C. Bell's leadership positively influenced the ministries by fostering a sense of humility and service. He declined a personal anniversary celebration, redirecting resources to further the church's mission. His engagement in foreign missions and motivational leadership inspired church initiatives and new appointments like Elder Michael O. Payton as Assistant Superintendent in the Sunday School, enhancing continuity and growth .

The stated goals for the Sunday School included increasing general attendance, boosting student participation, and increasing weekly offerings to $300.00. To achieve these objectives, they encouraged participation in all classes, kept improving their review processes, and motivated teachers and students through setting clear expectations and reminders of the importance of attendance .

The Sunday School department managed leadership changes by appointing Elder Michael O. Payton as the Assistant Superintendent. When teachers like Missionary Rose Malone faced health issues, the department utilized other missionaries and the S.S. Superintendent to temporarily take over teaching duties. This ensured continuity and stability within the Sunday School during times of change .

The Christian Women’s Council co-sponsored the Young Women of Excellence and collaborated with the Young Men's Christian Council to organize the church's homecoming reunion weekend. They held successful events, such as the Mother & Daughter Luncheon, to foster community engagement and supported youth activities like the Young Women of Excellence initiative, even though the program faced challenges . Their involvement significantly supported various church events by raising funds to offset costs and enhancing program participation.

'Over and Beyond Goal Day' was significant as it represented a key rally day for the Sunday School to surpass its regular goals for attendance and offerings. The event was seen as a success, reflecting the church's ability to mobilize its resources and spirit to achieve greater outcomes. It helped in motivating the congregation and increasing engagement with the Sunday School's objectives .

The Young Men's Christian Council organized platform services and prayer breakfasts, which helped both financially and spiritually. They planned consistent meetings and special events like Men's Day with themes and guest speakers to invigorate members. Collaboration with the Christian Women’s Council also facilitated a broader community involvement, contributing to the church's overall growth and unity .

The church organized a Memphis Drive in October to help prepare Pastor Bell for his trip to the National Convocation. Additionally, the Pastor's Aide Committee provided support mechanisms such as the 'Good Shepherds’ offering during the convocation, exceeding their target of $2000 .

Due to a lack of committed participation, the YWE program initially canceled some events like the planned pageant, but decided to present participants as the class of 2008 to the church. The program planned to hold classes and activities despite rescheduling the banquet to avoid conflict with other important church events. They also refunded registration fees where applicable and informed donors of the cancellation, offering them the option to still contribute to the church instead .

The church supported educational advancement by establishing the Supt. Rev Arsell Bell Memorial Scholarship Award. This initiative helped motivate students and acknowledge their contributions and potential. The church's systematic approach to educational support through scholarship committees and structured awards integrated their mission with practical outcomes promoting education within the community .
