Narcissistic Personality Inventory (NPI-40)

The Narcissistic Personality Inventory is a 40-item self-report measure of narcissism. It consists of 40 pairs of statements with participants indicating which statement they agree with more. Example statement pairs include "I am not good at influencing people" versus "I have a natural talent for influencing people". Higher scores on the inventory are said to indicate greater narcissism. The inventory was created to measure normal and abnormal narcissism and further validate the construct of narcissism.
