I believe Tuckers absences during the previous lessons affected his score. Kelti and Lily
seemed to mix up question marks and exclamation marks, therefore see my remediation plan
for what I would do to help aide in their understanding.
Remediation Plan (if applicable)
For those students you received a 3 or below on the assessment, I would work in a small group.
I would have students read aloud the sentences and tell me whether the sentence is asking,
telling, or saying something exciting. Although this was done throughout the lesson, some of
these students work better in smaller groups.
Personal Reflection Questions:
Did I give the students too little/too much time to give the answer to each sentence? Explain.
Every group worked at a different pace. Therefore when groups were finished I said to give me
a thumbs up. I felt that this worked best because it allowed everyone to work at their own pace,
but also allowed time for students to discuss.
Was I explicit enough during the instruction that students performance was what I expected?
Explain.
I believe I could have been more explicit in my instructions for the game of Scoot, but
otherwise all students performance was what I expected.
