CALL
Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL) , is a technical way for
learning and teaching is a process dont need book , paper or pen like schools
way everything online everything on computer and depends on it, different from
the usual way of education usually including a substantial interactive element .
(Levy, M. (1997). CALL: Context and Conceptualisation. Oxford: Oxford
University Press ) defines CALL more succinctly and more broadly as "the
search for and study of applications of the computer in language teaching and
learning".
this technical and smart way of learning using applications influenced language
learning and support different skills :(speaking , writing , listening , reading ,
grammar , or vocabulary ) .I would like to show you how language learning tech
tools supports language skills, like using EnglishCentral which is an free
application or website learn english by watching different videos with variety
topic and in many levels there are over 10.000 videos with subtitles if you do not
know the meaning of any word within the subtitles or if any word is difficult for
you to pronounce , you can easily tap the word and get more details about it

(meaning, example in sentence ), these videos help you to improve your english
writing after every video there is some tests you must do it, one of them request
from you to write the missing words when you finished you can see the results of
your answer and if you had written wrong spelling of the word they show you the
right one ,offered you a free worksheets during this way your writing and reading
skill develop so much , also this website or applications includes a lot of videos
talk about grammar lessons / courses , you can easily know the right way to say
any difficult word by listening to the videos .

Also we have The Google Apps it is an free group of applications all you need
account on Gmail , Google Apps Education progress options to help students
each others , in addition it help students and teachers to edit, comment and
share documents among each other , google apps for education indicates a lot of
apps supports language skills like Google Translate especially vocabulary skill
and pronunciation
you can translate any difficult word with more than 70 languages available , The
tool also includes an audio option, allowing users to hear the pronunciation of a
translated word.

we have Google Docs is an app where student can write and develop his
writing skill , is a place where student can edit and share his writing with his
colleagues,you can open it anywhere mobile , laptop ...etc, and anytime to edit
on your documents .
There are several of advantages and disadvantages in using technology in
learning like any system in the world have advantages and disadvantages ,
the most important advantages , Technology in classroom makes learning more
fun all students prefer and liked to use laptops , tablets , mobiles. Subjects that
students found it boring can become more interesting through a videos or when
using tablets .
Technology in classroom give chance to those students who feel shy to
participate in classroom and it support their confidence , helps students learn at
their own pace they can learn according to their abilities and needs , is also great
for teachers because it gives the time to work individual with each student who
may be having a problem .
The most important disadvantages is waste time with internet connection
problems and not all students have idea about technical learning , not all
students know how to work on applications and emails , studying on internet
makes the students less active in movement , teachers must hard work in this
way of teaching .

there is a lot of technical learning applications each one of them have
advantages and disadvantages for example Edmodo application it is an free
app students and teachers can use it easily it seems like facebook website ,
nowadays all people have facebook account so it easily to use , the advantages
of using this app teachers can make group of their classes with group code , safe
use . teachers can post and share homeworks online , this app makes learning
process more interesting , teachers can give feedback on students comments ,
parents can sign up and ask about their daughters and sons .
Disadvantages of using this app is , it's a big commitment for the teacher to be
available after school or university hours , the activities based on text writing , not
all students have access to the internet , It is difficult for students to upload work
from their iPads , With iPads, sometimes students just cannot log in.

Way to Learn A Language) talked Duolingo is a Great Tool for Language
Learners , Duolingo is not a stand-alone language course, but its an excellent
addition to a language learners toolbox. Its easy to use, its fun and it works.
Dont forget to do the homework, though. If your aim is to achieve real fluency,
remember to read, speak, and truly live the language that youre learning!
disadvantages of this way to learn new language is, this app did not support
grammar rules its only an app you can learn vocab and meanings from it , the
examples and words that duolingo used are not use in your everyday life also
sentences does not make sense .
The last example we have is kahoot is an application for learning by games
advantages of this app student do not need an account for play , they can open it
from anywhere laptops, mobiles, iPads they enjoy with app very much , very
easy way to create quizzes and surveys , teachers can use forms that others
made it , also teacher can use it for all subjects , the disadvantages of Kahoot is
the nature of application which did not give chance for slower students they see
themselves as failing , kahoot need a high internet connections .
CALL is a very smart idea for teaching and learning having a lot of advantages
regardless of disadvantages having a great features support learning system ,
support our brains and knowledge having a big number of applications help you
learn anything you want to learn ,and i am with this idea of learning it must be in

our life because its an contemporary thing, on my opinion this way of learning
must used in all schools and university not just a one course,i took a CALL
course in university with very good doctor i have benefited so much i learned a
lot of things related to using technology in learning without CALL course i can not
write something in this essay , if I work as teacher in future I will use this way of
teaching I think is the best way to get the idea of learning, we must all support
this way of learning and work on it .
