Vertical Beam and Gate Design Analysis

1) The document describes the design of vertical and horizontal beams and top and bottom rollers for a gate. 2) For the vertical beam, loading, moment and stress calculations are shown and a 300mm x 90mm channel section is designed and found to be safe with an actual stress of 103.9 N/mm2 and allowable stress of 106 N/mm2. 3) For the horizontal beam, similar calculations are shown and a 75mm x 40mm channel section is found to be safe with actual stress of 10.46 N/mm2 and allowable stress of 159 N/mm2.
