45th UAE NATIONAL DAY CELEBRATION 2016
Bright Riders School organized a grand celebration of the UAEs 45th National Day
under the slogan Spirit of The Union at its campus on Wednesday November 30,
2016, on the school stage to different cultural and heritage activities and
performances by students of various age groups for more than 3 hours. Students
were dressed in various Emirati traditional clothes, as they recited patriotic poems
and chanted nationalistic songs about the UAE, expressing their deep loyalty,
sincere love towards the nation that has accommodated every resident and
helped to raise generations proud of them. The festivities continued as the UAE
National Day Parade rolled out at 9 am on 29.11.2016. Children paraded in the
school campus singing We love you - UAE.
A special assembly was conducted to enlighten children about the National day as
well as to celebrate the day in grandeur. Children were told about the unification
of the UAE under the able leadership of HH Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyaan
also known as the father of UAE. The event commenced with the National anthem
followed by the Holy Quran recitation. This was also followed by a special parade
by the students. All the students showed their solidarity by waving the flags in their
hands. It was a vibrant assembly as the children waved their flags and danced to
the tunes of some scintillating Arabic music.
Children were shown placards and encouraged to identify some of the various
landmarks of the UAE . The students depicted the rich cultural heritage of the UAE
through a skit which was embellished by different artistic programmes of UAE. A
traditional costume parade which displayed the costumes of many Middle East
countries spiced up the show. The students were enlightened about the
significance of the UAE National day and the history behind the formation of
UAE and its Leaders under the able leadership of HH Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al
Nahyaan also known as the father of UAE. They were dressed in traditional UAE
attire portraying the colours of the UAE national flag and enjoyed the stunning
performance of their friends with sheer excitement and enthusiasm.
Among the many activities organized throughout the length and breadth of the
school in the various classes were those that reflected the UAE traditions and
values. Children coloured the outline of the UAE flag and made flags for the UAE
National Day Parade on 29.11.2016. An interesting digital activity that took place
was the assembling of the UAE flag. Children in groups made collages with the
caption I love UAE in class and displayed them on their bulletin boards.
A display of Arabic delicacies, traditional costumes, Quiz, handicrafts, the art of
Henna designing and A.V Presentations on UAEs Past to Present added a rich
variety to the celebrations. The audience was reminded of the rulers whose
leadership and governance has made the UAE home to over 200 nationalities
fostering amity in all walks of life thereby making the country much envied by the
world at large. Children dressed in national attires of UAE flag colours, brought the
campus alive with hues of green, black, red and white, showing their love towards
the country. They had sung patriotic song reminiscing the past to glorify the martyrs.
The Art Department is showcasing different paintings with a wide range of
expressions as to coincide with National Day. The paintings are to preserve the
UAEs rich values of its cultural, heritage and history and pass to the next
generation besides sharing with contemporaries. Through the celebration, the
school aimed to inculcate a sense of loyalty in the younger generation towards
the UAE nation and its leadership. It was a fascinating day for all at BRS. Teachers
and children took pride in celebrating the 45th National Day of the UAE.
Commenting on the celebrations, Dr. Rishikesh Padegaonkar , Principal ,states 45
years and going strong. What we witness today is a reflection of the UAE represents.
We are proud to have been and continue to be part of this fantastic journey.
Happiest people indeed, today, tomorrow, and every day. What a glorious
moment, what a phenomenal country, what an amazing leadership, what a
remarkable spirit. What a feeling of absolute pride, joy, excitement. What an honor
to be part of it. Congratulations to the UAE, and everyone who believes in the
undeniable determination of this country and its people. Although, the
celebrations of the day concluded with a great feeling of patriotism, joy, pride
and happiness being a part of the 45th National day celebrations of UAE BRS
continues to ensure that the children do not forget to carry on the legacy.
