OBJECTIVES:

-To be able to have a knowledge in lumbar puncture


-To be able to perform and to know different procedures like: starting and discontinuing
an IV, Suctioning and CPR
-To be able to meet our new C.I.
-To be able to perform the procedures on the day of return demonstration

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
We had officially started the 3rd grading with the presence of our C.I. Ma'am Joan
Taroma. She had introduced to us the topic and procedures we are going to master in the
following days. The discussion that was taught to us first is all about lumbar puncture and then
after the discussion. Starting and discontinuing of an IV catheter followed. The next following
week last February 20(Monday). We had learned on how to do suctioning and it was followed by
restraint and CPR. We had mastered the skill and we were able to perform return
demonstration.
LEARNING INSIGHTS:
I had learned on how to give emergency nursing action in to an individual who needs help.
COMMENTS:
-The equipments was too old for us to use it in our return demonstration.
-The time was really productive and fun.

OBJECTIVES:

To be able to know our patient


To do bed side care

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
On Monday feb 28 marks our first day duty at pedia ward I'm so excited that time
because I will be able to meet my patient and to learn new things. Then on Tuesday we had our
NCP making that we had a revision on it, to be check on the following day. On Wednesday I was
able to change an IV fluid.
LEARNING INSIGHTS:
I had learned on how to change an IVF
COMMENTS:
The duty was productive and fun

OBJECTIVES:

To be able to compute a drug


To be able to prepare a medication

BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
This week focus was all about drug computation and preparation I'm really excited to
learn and to enhance this kind of skill. On Monday we had received our new patient for this time
we only had 2 each because the patients number that are admitted is just a few the on Tuesday
we had an actual preparation of the drug
LEARNING INSIGHTS:
I had learned on how to compute and prepare a drug
COMMENTS:
The duty was productive and fun.
DATE: March 13 and 15
TIME: 3:00 pm 9:00 pm
VENUE: PEDIA WARD AND OB WARD (VRH BAYOMBONG)
OBJECTIVES:
To able to discuss our case study and to do kardex
To be able to have our duty in the OB ward.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
This week is our last week of duty and we are all shocked because we didnt not notice
the days. We had a task to do the Kardex, gladly we are able to do it. We were not able to have
our duty on Tuesday because our Clinical Instructor had a important personal errand. For our
last day we had able to have our duty in the OB and we had able to discuss the cases of our
last patients in pedia ward.
LEARNING INSIGHTS:
I had learned on how to do the Kardex.
COMMENTS:
The duty was productive and fun.
