Course: Digital Photography 101

Syllabus
Students will be, by the end of this course, be able to take photos using a DSLR camera that they modify
utilizing manual settings, evaluate those photos, and edit those photos applying Adobe Photoshop and Adobe
Lightroom software. This will require knowledge of digital photography, graphic terms, photographic editing
and use.
Objectives:
The students will describe the proper care and use of a DSLR camera.
The student will manage manual controls of taking his photos.
The student will evaluate his or her photos and explain his evaluation.
in photographic words.
The student will discover and recognize key tools within the Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom user
interface.
The student will prove his skill with the cropping, and editing tools, the selection tools, the color palette, and
utilizing masks and filters by the end of the course

Required Materials:
Computers with Adobe Photoshop CC loaded
(Adobe Lightroom CC should be loaded as well, if possible)
(Photos App should be loaded as well, if possible)

Tripods
