En Electrical information B252 series WARNING READ THIS OPERATION MANUAL THOROUGHLY AND UNDERSTAND REQUIREMENTS FOR OPERATION, INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE BEFORE STARTING THE MACHINE. THE OPERATOR AND THE CONTROLLER OF THIS MACHINE MUST NOT ALLOW ANY PERSON WHO DOES NOT HAVE A COMPLETE UNDERSTANDING OF THE NATURE OF THIS MACHINE TO OPERATE IT. SAFETY REMINDER TO ALL HAMADA OPERATORS Your Hamada Press has been designed and built to be safe to use as a machine can be. But there is a hazard in any moving machinery, whatever it's purpose. All ‘who operate machinery must be aware that injury may occur if hands or fingers are put into it while it is running To protect the careless and inattentive person, so far as itis possible to do, covers have been installed over chain delivery, roller, and cylinder areas, in most cases a micro-switch is activated when covers are lifted, and that tums off the machine. Guard bars have been installed at points of possible hazard. Gears have been covered by side panels. For your own safety, do not remove any side panels, safety covers, or safety bars. Do not disconnect or manually defeat any switches designed to cut on power to the press in the event that a safety cover or device is removed. While all possible measures have been taken to prevent injury, in the final analysis it is you who will keep you from hurting yourself, by being alert and watchful, by turning off the press before making adjustments, and by "keeping your fingers to yourself.” Yours for safe and happy operation - HAMADA, NOTICE THE WARRANTY ON THIS HAMADA PRESS BECOMES INVALID IF ANY OF THE SAFEIY FEATURES OR DEVICES ARE REMOVED, CHANGED OR DISCONNECTED. Basic Safety Rules General + Operators and maintenance personnel must read this manual carefully before operating or do maintenance on the press. + Keep this manual handy so you can reference information when needed. + Do not operate or do maintenance on the press until you have a thorough understanding of all the operations. * If you loose or damage this manual, contact us or your local HAMADA dealer to order a new copy. * Ifyou transfer the press to someone else, attach this manual for the new owner. * Tum OFF the machine power switch before servicing the machine to prevent electrical accidents. + After servicing a press, make sure all safety guards, shields, indicators, and all other safety equipment are replaced and in proper operating condition before allowing an operator to operate the press. ‘+ Make sure hands, fingers, and other appendages of all persons near the press are clear before rotating the press. Clothing and dress ‘+ Do not wear jewelry, loose clothing, long nails, or wear long hair. Wear a hat or other covering to keep your hair tight to your head: dangling hair is dangerous! + Wear a work jacket with the cuffs and collar tightly closed. + Wear work pants with the hems tightly closed. + Wear shoes with a non-slip sole. Fire + When a fire breaks out, attempt to extinguish the fire before it expands, and promptly contact the fire department. If an oil, chemical, or electrical fire breaks out use only an extinguisher approved for that particular type of fire. Never use water to extinguish these types of fires. Ifan accident does occur ; *Call for help in a loud voice. Ifa part of your body gets caught in a rotating part ; “Turn OFF the power supply ita part of your body gets caught between the ink or dampening rollers ; “Remove the rollers. Ita part of your body gets caught between cylinders ; + manually remove the pressure from the cylinders. 18252 Series SERVICE MANU: Potential Hazards — Read Carefully! The most important concept to keep in mind when operating the machine is safety; think safety first! This section describes the basic warnings for printing press operation and maintenance. Please read it carefully and heed the warnings. Waste Do not remodel the press. Doing so may void the warranty and create an unsafe machine. Do not remove safety covers or bars. Doing so may cause death, serious injury, or to damage the press. Do not touch rotating or driving units of the press while it is running. Always stop the press first when you do an operation near these areas. When you operate the press together with other people, always verbally confirm each person is clear before operating the press. Most of the solutions used for printing and prepress contain chemicals harmful for human bodies. Read and follow the instructions and cautions on the label. Use a blanket cleaner made exclusively used for printing presses. Using a volatile solution, such as gasoline, may cause a fire or explosion. Do not dispose of waste liquids or oil in a sewer drain. Contract an industrial waste collection service, or dispose of the waste according to the local anti-pollution ordinances. Series SERVICE MANUAL The current load in the press may cause a fire while the press is not running. Always turn OFF the source power supply (power circuit breaker switch) when the press is not in use. When you do another operation after inching, first release your finger from the inching switch. Never do another operation while pressing an inching switch. Always turn OFF the source power supply (power circuit breaker switch) before doing maintenance operations or adding oil. After maintenance or repair, always return safety components, such as safety covers, safety bars, and protection units, to their normal status. Gasoline It a fire breaks out, attempt to extinguish the fire before it expands, and promptly contact the fire department. Keep a fire extinguisher near the press so you are prepared if a fire breaks out. During a lighting or thunder storm, turn OFF the source power supply (power circuit breaker switch) to prevent damage to the machine's electrical circuits. ‘Turn OFF the power circuit breaker switch also when you finish operating the press. Use only cleaning solutions manufactured exclusively for cleaning printing press components. Do not use a highly volatile cleaning solution such as gasoline. The use of such solutions may cause a fire or explo: VICE MANUAL Contents 1. ELECTRICAL INFORMATION .. [1] Electrical specifications. [2] Adjustment of rotary switches and dip switches on main board.
