The movie is based on true stories and there re-lives the experience of a group of
mountain-climbers who were surprised by a storm in the summit of the Everest, the
highest mountain of the world on May 10, 1996.

From the beginning it is from the teacher who wants to try for third occasion his ascent to
the Everest, mountain-climber methodical who already has climbed other 6 mountains and
his dream is to conquer the seventh one and more fearsome and majestic top, as well as
the businessman who needs to be proved to if same that is capable of coming even above
she to be felt to his life.

On the other hand, there are the competitive group of experts who will do up to the
impossible thing because his groups are the first ones in coming, in spite of the climate
and the critical conditions in those who are the routes to tame to this monster of the
nature.

The history begins with the rivalry between Rob Hall and Scott Fisher, two experienced
mountain-climbers who have invested all his life in the business of the expeditions to the
Everest. Though both are expert and want that his group is the first one in ascending, they
will have to be allied to fight against the time and the changeable conditions of the climate.

In the group of Rob, who consists of 8 persons, also Helen Wilton is his socia, and a
doctor that they are those who monitor the climate and to the group of adventurers in his
ascent for the different camps and routes.

Of the different expeditions that went out this spring of 1996, eight persons they lost the
life and one more was rescued by the first time in helicopter of the highest camp by
serious burns and in a serious condition of freezing.
