Gauge (10cm/4" square):
• stockinette stitch: 16 sts and 22 rows • twisted rib stitch: 18 sts and 22 rows • pattern stitch: 16 sts and 14 rows
Gauge may vary according to individual knitting style. Change needle size if necessary to achieve gauge. Alternatively, rework pattern with your own gauge measurements.
Summary
※Note: entire garment worked with 2 strands of yarn held together.
Body & sleeves: Cast on with long-tail cast-on method. Work in twisted k1p1 ribbing, pattern stitch, and stockinette stitch as indicated. Work front placket in twisted k1p1 ribbing at the
same time as you work the front body pieces, working buttonholes in right front only.. Then continue from placket to back collar section. Reverse shaping of right front for left front.
Pockets: Cast on with long-tail cast-on method. Work in twisted k1p1 ribbing and stockinette stitch as indicated. Bind off in pattern. Seam to front body as indicated in finishing schematic.
Finishing: Seam shoulders with crochet slip stitch seam. Seam sides and sleeve undersides with mattress stitch. Seam bound-off ends of back collar pieces (the ones that continue from
the front plackets) and seam with crochet slip stitch seam with wrong sides facing. Seam long edges of back collar pieces to neckline with stitches-to-rows mattress stitch. Seam sleeves
to body with crochet slip stitch seam. Fasten snaps and buttons to body.
