The Institute of Energy at the University of Dhaka is launching a Master's in Renewable Energy Technology program and a Professional Master's in Renewable Energy Technology. The Institute of Energy (IE), University of Dhaka has launched Master in Renewable Energy Technology (MRET) and
Professional Master in Renewable Energy Technology (PMRET) program for those who can take the challenge to lead
Renewable Energy Technology (RET) as profession in Bangladesh and abroad.
Course details:
Applications are invited from prospective students in prescribed form for admission into the MS in Renewable Energy
Technology for 2017-2018 session. The 45-credit course will be conducted in the next one and half year by three semesters.

Admission Requirement:
40 students for MRET and 40 students for PMRET will be selected strictly on the basis of merit through admission test.
Applicants must satisfy the following requirements:
➢ 4-year [Link] (Hons.) or 3-year [Link] (Hons.) with 1 year [Link] in Physics, Applied Physics, Chemistry, Applied Chemistry,
Mathematics, all branches of Engineering, Renewable Energy, Earth and Environmental Science, Leather and
Petroleum Technology, Statistics, Bio Science, Geology, Geography, IT, MIS, Economics, Marine, Naval, Agriculture,
Disaster and related fields.
➢ Candidates should have minimum CGPA 2.5 out of 4.0 (or 2nd class approved by the equivalence committee of IE)
➢ Minimum required CGPA will be 2.0 for candidates having at least two years professional experience.
Admission Form:
Application forms for MRET and PMRET will be available in the Office of IE during office hour on payment of Tk.1,000/- (non-
refundable). Candidates will be required to collect and submit the application forms duly filled in at the office of IE within the
above mentioned date.
Class Time for MRET: Weekdays: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Class Time for PMRET: Weekends: Morning, Afternoon & Evening, Weekdays: Evening (5pm-9pm)
Last date of application : 10 July, 2017
Admission Test : 15 July, 2017 at 10:00 am (Saturday)
