McWilliam's antebellum home. We pressure washed the front of the
house, burned brush, and did other chores on Mrs. Kay's honey-do
list.

The Trail of Honor, held May 19th -21st, ( at the Harley Shop in
Jackson MS.) pays tribute to the Veterans of every conflict the USA
has ever fought in. We are proud to participate in this patriotic event
by sponsoring the Turkey Shoot. We had two great days at the 2018
Trail of Honor. Approximately 118 shooters, mostly children, took
shots at the paper targets.

I want to recognize our ever busy OCR ladies. May was teacher
appreciation month. They recognized four teachers and the principal
of Florence High School, with a certificate and gift cards from
several businesses, for their dedication to their chosen profession.

2018 Civil War Relic Show Update – June 16th & 17th
We can't stress the fact enough that we need your help!!! As of May 19th, 2018 we have sold 250 tables for our Relic Show! We have
finished designing our ad for the newspapers, and completed the flier that we will pass out & mail to 120,000 people. We have completed our radio ads
for the show, we sent out our final mail-out to over 500 potentials vendors, and we have secured our food vendor for the show. He sets up outside & has
great food.

We need to find people willing to do a LIVING HISTORY at our Relic Show. Please keep that in mind and spread the word! Chuck Gray has secured
the Magnolia Rifles, a youth reenacting group, to set up at the show.

We received a $300.00 donation in January but we still need help raising money by selling ads in our newsletter or soliciting donations. Any help with
this endeavor would be greatly appreciated by all of us at Camp 265. Remember, it costs about $20,000 to put on our Relic Show! We have sponsor
sheets to use when selling ads with photos of activities our camp has done in the community, an explanation of how their donation will be used, and
information for them regarding a tax write off.

Remember: if you ask, you may be told no, but if you never ask- you’ll never be told yes!

We need the most help on Friday morning with set-up from 9am-1pm, Friday afternoon from 1pm-5pm to help vendors set up their booths, and on
Sunday afternoon with tear down at 4pm. Lunch will be provided on Friday for the vendors and those helping with set-up.

Please make plans to attend the 2018 Civil War Relic Show and help us make it a success!

We would like to thank those from Camp #265 that helped make the 2018 Trail of Honor
Turkey Shoot not only possible, but a great success! We would also like to thank the re-
enactors, other community organizations such as the Trail Life Troop MS 0220 (pictured right),
and the general public for coming out to support such a great and worth-while cause that
honors our Veterans, past and present!
