Significance of The Study

This study examines the effects of playing Dota on the academic performance of grade 12 students at Saint Paul School of Professional Studies. The study aims to guide students on the impacts of Dota addiction, inform parents of children experiencing gaming addiction issues, and help administrators and staff understand the effects of Dota so they can address related problems. The research also intends to provide a reference for future researchers studying gaming addiction.

Significance of the Study

This study entitled “Effects of Playing Dota to the Academic Performance of Grade 12

Senior High School Students of Saint Paul School of Professional Studies” is conducted to

benefit the following:

Students - This study may serve as a guide and awareness to the effects of playing DOTA to the

academic performance of students.

Parents – the study would hope to give information to those parents whose sons/daughters are

experiencing such addiction in the game DOTA. This will give them knowledge which will help

them solve the problem of addiction to the game.

Administrators and Staffs - This study will help them realize the effects of playing DOTA to the

students and they will have knowledge about it.

Future Researchers -This research will be a useful reference for the researchers who would

plan to make any related study precisely about DOTA.
