Operating conditions
Placed beneath hoppers, FAM apron feeders are ideal
for direct feeding processing machinery such as
jaw crushers, cone crushers, roll crushers,
impact crushers and hammer crushers
Apron feeders can also be used to feed screens,
roller sizers and belt conveyors
Design and engineering
■ The set of aprons consists of individual steel plates.
■ Traction is provided by two chain strands.
■ The individual steel slats are mounted on chain links.
■ In the upper section, the apron strand is guided
on stationary, maintenance-free idler pulleys.
■ In the feed area, impact rails are mounted below
the apron strand to absorb the shock during feeding.
■ All components are mounted on the main frame.
■ Apron feeders are powered by either a gearbox
and motor with frequency converter or alternatively
a hydraulic drive unit.
