GRADUATE ENGINEERING ASSISTANT OPPORTUNITY


Understanding that there might be a position currently vacant at Chinese construction company, I
am writing to provide with details for your records and express my interest in a position as a
graduate assistant with the department of Civil /Construction Department at the company.
The knowledge I have accumulated from my bachelor of engineering (department of
Civil/Environmental Engineering) at the Delta State University, having graduated in 2017 with
knee interest on Highway construction during my studies, would be of immense value to the
company
I had experience in administrative work and site supervision during an internship with the Nigeria
National Petroleum Cooperation (NNPC), where I gained little understanding of project
supervision. During the mandatory national youth service, I cultivated and developed the passion
of teaching, good communication skills and good time management which I enjoyed throughout
the one year. I also was trained extensively in the theory and practice of health and safety in the
work environment by Environmental and Safety Management Institute (ESIM). I also hold
certificate in Digital Marketing awarded by Google. I am proficient in Microsoft Office packages,
AutoCAD, Graphic and Web designing

Both the internship and national service help me to develop interpersonal skills and I was able to
relate well with both colleagues and students from different backgrounds.
I understand that, as a fresh graduate I have a lot to learn about working within an organization. I
would like to start in an entry level position that would allow me to be mentored and guided in my
professional development. If by chance, there is no vacancy presently I would love to volunteer to
work for the experience.
