INTRODUCTION

Exercise has an important role in human life, in modern life today, humans can not be separated from
sports activities as a necessity in maintaining the body to stay healthy and to improve the achievement.Humans
in exercising have different goals. There are four basic objectives that a person is doing sports activities.
Mylsidayu and Kurniawan (2015) mentions there are 4 basic objectives of human being to exercise, among
others, as follows: ) Sports aimed at recreation, meaning to be done to fill leisure time and fun, 2) Sport aimed at
education, meaning done with objectives that have been listed on curriculum and syllabus, 3) Sports aimed for
physical fitness, meaning done with purpose Certain and under the tutelage of professional personnel, 4) Sports
aimed at achievement, meaning done with careful preparation and training program in such a way.
Sport that is currently beginning to appear and attract people now most of the sport futsal. The existence
of futsal is no longer just a sport but has changed into life style, especially in big cities in Indonesia, futsal di
gemari by various circles in the community of small children, adolescents, and adults, both men even lately
began In demand by women.
The development of futsal in the country so fast but contrary to the achievements of our national team,
talent training and training should start from an early age to print a good athlete. In this way it is expected that
the given training program can be prepared well in advance considering the sport of futsal is a complex sport
and requires physical tactics and techniques are good and special to prepare it.
Physical condition is very important to be considered in every sport, because the physical condition is
one of the most important elements to achieve maximum performance. The main goal of preparing the physical
exercise is to increase the athlete's functional potential and develop biomotor skills to the highest standard. The
development of physical exercises in each exercise program is done through general physical, physical and
special phases of building high levels of biomotor ability Bompa (2009, p 61).

Physical has various components in it. Components of the physical conditions necessary for a person to
improve his performance, namely: 1) Endurance, 2) Strength, 3) Speed, 4) Flexibility, 5) Agility, 6 )
Coordination, 7) Balance, 8) Explosive power Roesdiyanto et al (2008, p 49). Of the various physical
components, the focus in this study is the physical component of speed and agility. Because agility and speed is
one component of the physical condition that is very important for an athlete, especially for sports that really
need the ability to move quickly.

Speed is the ability of the muscle to respond to stimulation in as short a time or as quickly as possible
Sukadiyanto and Muluk, (2011, p. 116). In other words that speed is the ability to work on continuous
movement in the same form and in the shortest possible time. So speed is one of the basic biomotor skills
needed in every sport. The rate of a person's speed is determined by several factors, factors that influence speed,
among others, are determined by: heredity, reaction time, strength, technique, muscle elasticity, concentration
and will. In addition to these factors, muscle types also affect the speed of a person
According to Mutohir&Maksum (2007, p. 56) agility is the ability of the body or body part to change
the direction of movement suddenly in high speed. For example, able to run back and forth and meandering,
within a distance and period of time, or the ability to avoid quickly in a condition that is still stable. Components
of agility are closely related to component speed and coordination. Agility becomes a capital to improve motion
skills in sports techniques, especially movements that require good motion coordination. In addition, agility is
also needed to anticipate changes in the situation in the game.will not be able to perform a game in a sport that
digelutinya optimally even have a good technique, mental, and strategy if the physical ability is bad. The
physical condition of an altet should be improved continuously and systematically and taking into account the
principles of exercise and the physical components required in the sport. "The process of physical condition
training that is done carefully, over and over with the increasing burden of training allows the physical fitness of
an increasingly skilled, strong and efficient movement" Ruslan (2011, p.46)
Based on observations and interviews to the father of Ahmad NurRoziq extracurricular futsal coach of
SMPN 2 Bojonegoro, that is about the applied practice model tends to be monotonous and more dominant in
technique. When conducted observations in the field, researchers found that there are many children
extracurricular futsal SMPN 2 Bojonegoro who have not mastered the physical components such as speed and
agility. Teachers as well as trainers who extracurricular extract also revealed that to master the futsal game must
be supported by good physical factors, while the physical condition of the learners is still lacking so that the
need for exercises that can provide differences and interesting so that learners are not easily bored.
Because the focus in this discussion on the physical condition of speed and agility, then the results of
observations and interviews to extracurricular trainers can be proven from the test results that contain the
element of speed that is the test run, from the test results there are only a few children who have a good time
record. Namely from all the children who perform the test run test data obtained from 4.27 seconds to 5.12
seconds with an average of 4.69 seconds. Which when viewed from the table of norms test run speed of 30
meters results show moderate to less norms. Even the average is still in the norm is at 4.35 seconds to 4.72
seconds
So speed and agility is one of the basic biomotor components needed in every sport. Any sport activity
that is game, race, or match always requires a speed biomotor component. For that speed is one element of basic
biomotor that must be trained in an effort to support the achievement of learning that requires speed and agility.
Therefore, in order to improve the ability of the physical condition of speed and agility required a series of
exercises, and is expected after doing a series of exercises with certain types of exercise will be able to improve
speed and agility.
Based on several theoretical studies above there are some exercises that are expected to improve speed
and agility, namely Star Drill Backpedal Shuffle, Star Drill Sprint Carioca Backpedal and Star Drill Sprint Bear
Crawl Shuffle. Researchers chose the three exercises because the exercise is considered capable of increasing
speed and agility

METHOD

Based on the type of this study using a quantitative approach. The research method used in this research
is quasi experimental research method (quasi experiment). Research conducted strictly to determine the causal
relationships among variables, the experiment is a type of research in which the sample or object of research is
given a treatment (treatment) to determine the cause and effect between variables. Design or design in research
using "Matching Only Design" The research design is described as follows:

K1 T11 X1 T21

K2 T12 X2 T22

The population in this study were all students who followed extracurricular futsal in SMPN 2
Bojonegoro amounted to 40 students in SMP N 2 bojonegoro and with the same criteria.
This research technique using population study because all population in made subject, because of
population less than hundred, hence keseluruan population in this research in made subject which amounted to
40 people. The determination of grouping is done by ordinal pairing or adjusted to rank of pretest result.
Research instrument in this research is speed test by using 30 meter run test and agility test by using T-test.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

Description of data is about average, standard deviation, variance, maximum and minimum values, and the
percentage increase in speed and agility test results of the four types of exercises in each group. Then, the test
results will be recorded and calculated based on the group and the type of exercise that is applied. Description of
data using SPSS computer program. (Statistical Program For Social Science) 21.0.
The discussion here discusses the results of research on Star Drill-Sprint Backpedal Shuffle training, Star
Drill-Sprint Carioca Backpedal, and Star Drill-Sprint Bear Crawl Shuffle against speed and agility.
In measuring the speed of one's motion or series of motion as quickly as possible in response to the
stimulus with the unit of time to measure an achievement, one's agility is certainly done by arranging some
movements that require the test taker to alter the movement or direction of his body. Similarly, speed, agility
also uses units of time to measure an achievement. The less time needed to complete a test the better the results
obtained. In this study, a 30-meter speed test test was measured using a stopwatch, while the agility used a "T"
drill test that was also measured using a stopwatch,
There is a significant effect of Star Drill-Sprint Backpedal Shuffle training on increasing speed with an
average pre 4.75 post 4.53 and agility with an average pre 11.16 post 10.94 in students following extracurricular
in junior high. This shows a significant influence on the components of speed and agility with sig. (2-tailed)
0,000 <ᾳ = 0.05.
There was a significant effect of the Drill-Sprint Carioca Backpedal rehearsal exercise on increasing speed
with an average pre 4.77 post 4.62 and agility with an average pre 11.29 post 11.14 in students following
extracurricular in SMP, This Showed a significant influence on the components of speed and agility with sig. (2-
tailed) 0,000 <ᾳ = 0.05.
There is a significant effect of the Drill-Sprint Bear Return training Shuffle against an increase in speed
with an average pre 4.70 post 4.59 and agility with an average pre 11.11 post 11.02 in students following
extracurricular in junior high. This shows a significant influence on the components of speed and agility with sig.
(2-tailed) 0,000 <ᾳ = 0.05.
There are significant differences in the effect of Star Drill-Sprint Backpedal Shuffle drills, Star Drill-Sprint
Carioca Backpedal, And Star Drill-Sprint Bear Crawl Shuffle against the increase in speed, significant
differences in effect on the increase between groups of researchers can be seen from the sig results. 0.000 <ᾳ =
0.05, Where drill-sprint backpedal shuffle drills are more effective at increasing speed.
There are significant differences in the effect of Star Drill-Sprint Backpedal Shuffle drills, Star Drill-Sprint

CONCLUSION AND
SUGGESTION

In the process of applying the exercises done should be tucked in some exercises in stages in order to
increase the speed and agility of students who follow extracurricular futsal not necessarily conventionally and
monotonously.
To improve the speed and agility can be done with a continuous training method, with the form of Star
Drill-Sprint Backpedal Shuffle drills, Star Drill-Sprint Carioca Backpedal, And Star Drill-Sprint Bear Crawl
Shuffle.
So to improve speed and agility is not only done with the conventional exercise, there must be new
methods most appropriate on aspects to be improved. Model of the Star Drill-Sprint Backpedal Shuffle training
program, Star Drill-Sprint Carioca Backpedal, And Star Drill-Sprint Bear Crawl Shuffle can be recommended
and applied to the exercise program in order to increase speed and agility in students who follow extracurricular
futsal.
For sports activists in general and sports teachers and trainers especially should be able to make a model
game in the training that contains elements of speed and agility, so that the player is able to carry out exercises
that have been prepared with enthusiasm and can know and feel the benefits of the game model in the training
for pemian , So the goal of the exercise can be achieved. For the next researcher, can be used as input and
comparison of research results if choosing similar problems as the object of research.
