Student Satisfaction with School Canteen

A survey of 200 students at Good Hope School found that most students were dissatisfied with the school canteen. Only a small percentage felt there was enough variety of dishes or that the food was delicious. Most students felt the food was too expensive. While students felt there were enough tables and chairs, they believed the facilities were in poor condition. The report recommends the school change its food supplier, ask for improved quality and variety of food, lower prices, hire new chefs, and renew the canteen facilities.

How do students feel about the school canteen?

1. Introduction

It is claimed that students were not satisfied with the food in the school canteen.

The purpose of this report is to discover in which aspects students were not

satisfied in. Two hundred students were surveyed about the canteen’s facilities,

type and quality of food and value for money. This report gives the findings of the

survey.

2. Findings

2.1 Types of dishes

In our survey, only 14.8% of students feels Types of dishes

2.2 Quality of food

According to our survey, 16.2% of students

thinks that the food is delicious. A vast number

of students were not satisfied with the quality

of food by the school canteen.

2.3 Price

In our survey, 69% of students feels

that the food is expensive. Only 25.1%

of students feels that the price is

appropriate.

2.4 Facilities

From our survey, the majority of students thinks that there is enough table and

chairs, but the facilities were not in good condition.


3. Conclusion and recommendations

The vast majority of students are not satisfied with the school canteen in terms of

facilities, type and quality of food and value for money. The school may have to

change company of food supply, or ask the company to improve. The company

may set the price at a lower price or hire other chiefs. The school may also renew

the facilities of the canteen.
