Desalination Plant Process Flow Diagram

The document presents a process flow diagram for a proposed desalination plant. The diagram shows the intake of seawater and various treatment processes including flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, reverse osmosis, and energy recovery. Various pumps and tanks are involved to move the water through each treatment step before the potable water is stored in a tank for distribution. Chemicals such as chlorine, acid, and antiscalants are added at different points to treat and condition the water. Brine from the process is drained back to the sea or sent to evaporation ponds.
