Program Overview
Feature Descriptions
Audition Technique & Text Analysis Class
Students will receive training on their roles and audition packages. The
course is designed to help the student succeed in future auditions.
Dramatic Preparation
An opportunity for the students to break down their roles or audition
material from a dramatic perspective. The course focuses on understanding
and building a character.
Career Workshops
Aimed to provide artists with information tied to launching a career.
Materials covered are young artist programs, agent/manager relationships,
taxes, promotion, email etiquette, European competition and audition circuit
and much more.
Coachings
Artists will receive private general repertoire coaching during the session.
Voice Lessons
Artists will receive private general voice lessons during the session.

Master Classes
A chance to witness or take part in workshops conducted by professionals
such as conductors, directors, voice teachers and opera stars.
Rehearsals
General rehearsals will be held on a daily basis 3 hour blocks. Roles must be
memorized from the start of the program. Participates found to be
unprepared will be in danger of losing their performance opportunity.

Housing Information
Housing is not included in tuition. However we help you find the most
affordable housing in the area - if needed. You will be paired with other
members of the program.

details. If you fail to make payment by the dates mentioned above you will
forfeit your spot.
Upon acceptance, you will receive a document of agreement that states all
the rules and regulations of Chicago Summer Opera. This must be signed
