Gerund and Infinitive Exercise

Dennis was a lazy university student who tended to avoid working. He had an assignment due in two weeks from his history professor but postponed writing it. On the night before it was due, he realized he hadn't done it and decided to cheat by copying an old article. When his professor confronted him, angry that the paper was plagiarized, Dennis denied copying it. The professor was further angered that Dennis didn't tell the truth, knowing the paper was one the professor had written years before. Dennis felt sorry for lying.
