creates everything in this world. The writer is profoundly grateful to God for His big
love, blessing, guidance, and help. The Almighty God who has bestowed upon the
writer in completing this thesis. The writer knows that it needs a lot of effort to write
this thesis and she realizes that without His blessing, she cannot complete it.
This Thesis is the Final Assignments which is submitted to fulfill the
requirement for the degree of Strata I (S-I) at The Teacher Training College of
HKBP Nommensen University of Pematangsiantar, entitled “The Effect Of Small
Group Discussion Teaching Technique To The Reading Comprehension On The
Descriptive Text At Grade VIII Of SMP Trisakti pematangsiantar”
