Abstract

the relation of anxiety levels with social adaptation at infertile pus with the Sister
Callista Roy model theory approach

(study in the puskesmas UPT working area of babat sub-district Lamongan regency)

Infertility is a thing that is often worried and become a serious problem for
married couples. Infertility terms in the society tradition is very frightening, especially
for women because it is considered as failure in female function as a mother. Infertile
problem can cause women to get pressure from society and will make the individual
feel anxious so that affects social adaptation with others. This research aimed to find
out the relation of anxiety levels with social adaptation at infertile pus with the Sister
Callista Roy model theory approach.

This research was correlation analytic research with crossectional approach, the
population was all infertile women who married with marriages age for 1-5 years in the
puskesmas UPT working area of babat amounted to 54 respondents, and the number of
samples were 42 respondents, sampling by using simple random sampling. Research
instrument using questionnaire sheet, data processing by editing, coding, scoring,
tabulating. Its result using spearmen rank correlation with the error rate is =0,05.

The results showed that from 42 respondents mostly have mild anxiety as many
24 respondents (57,1%) and almost all respondents have ineffective social adaptation as
many 37 respondents (88,1%). The results showed there are relation of anxiety levels
with social adaptation at infertile PUS obtained value p= 0,019 if α=0,05 then p<α
means that H1 was accepted.

The result concluded that there is a relation of anxiety levels with social
adaptation at infertile pus, it is expected to provide health education efforts about
reproductive health against infertile pus.
