My Plan Time: Tues-Fri 10:35-11:25am
Classroom Expectations
1. Come prepared to class each day.
2. Stay on task and use time wisely.
3. Follow directions.
4. Avoid distracting others.
5. Turn work in on time.
6. Respect others and have a pleasant attitude.

Snack and Drink

I believe in having a Brain Friendly classroom which promotes “brain fuel” and keeping
the children hydrated. I will allow students to bring healthy snacks to my classroom.
They may also bring water bottle with a lid. Water only please. No soda or juice.

Technology
Technology is a welcome tool in our classroom. However, students are still learning
about boundaries with technology, both in and out of the classroom. We will utilize
Chromebooks almost daily in our classes after we discuss appropriate use of school
technology. Students who make poor choices with their Chromebooks will be
suspended from using them.
In addition to school-provided technology, many students have personal devices.
Remember that students are solely responsible for any personal devices that are
brought to school.
Cell phones are NOT ALLOWED in class. Cell phones should be OFF and locked in
lockers during the school day. In our efforts to help students develop responsibility and
to help ease congestion in the office, students are not allowed to call home for
forgotten items like homework, lunches, tennis shoes, etc.

Classwork
Classwork is a vital part of the learning process, allowing students to practice and
interact with new information. It also helps me monitor student progress. Most practice
will be completed in class, but if a student needs more time to complete their work or if
I feel students need extra practice I may occasionally send home an assignment. Buzz
Math may also be worked on at home. The best way to check on your student’s work is
to view their Google Classroom.
Students are expected to meet due date deadlines with their classwork. Students who
do not turn in an assignment when it is due will complete it during recess. Students with
work that is more than two days late will be sent to ISS to catch up.
