to the Advisera Knowledgebase.

The purpose of Advisera Knowledgebase is the following:

• To download all relevant materials (see sections 3 and 6.3 of this Manual)

5.3. How Advisera will measure your success

Advisera will measure how successful you are through student satisfaction with the Workshop
(measured through the questionnaire Advisera sends to students via email).

6. Preparing for the Workshop

6.1. Relationship of the online course and the Workshop

One Workshop serves several different online courses:

• Lead Auditor Workshops covers the ISO 27001 Lead Auditor Course, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
Course and ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Course
• Lead Implementer Workshop covers the ISO 27001 Lead Implementer Course, ISO 9001 Lead
Implementer Course and ISO 14001 Lead Implementer Course

In practice, this means that, on one Lead Auditor workshop, you might have some students that
focus on ISO 9001, and others on ISO 14001 and ISO 27001.

All workshop materials are designed in such way that they are compatible with any of these
standards.

6.2. Workshop objectives

The objective of the workshop is not to teach new theory to the students - they should have learned
all the theory through the online course.

Rather, the main objectives of the workshop are the following:

• Explain any uncertainties the students might have after attending the online course
• Enhance student understanding through interactive exercises and real-life examples
• Prepare the students for the exam

See the Session plan for each workshop to learn what the workshop focuses on.

6.3. Mandatory documentation for the Workshop trainer

At least 7 days before the Workshop, download the following materials from the Advisera
Knowledgebase so that you can prepare yourself:

• Session Plan for the Workshop

• Workbook which contains presentation slides and exercise materials
• Workshop PowerPoint presentation
• Scripts for online courses

CONFIDENTIAL - INTERNAL USE ONLY

6.4. Mandatory documentation for the students

The workshop organizer needs to prepare the following documents for the students (printed on
paper):

• (one copy only) Attendee list with filled out names of students that are allowed to take the
Workshop
• (for each student) Session Plan for the Workshop
• (for each student) Workbook which contains presentation slides, case study and exercise
materials
• (for each student) Name tag

The Workshop trainer is responsible for ensuring that these documents are present at the start of
the Workshop and that a copy of the Workbook, Session Plan and Name tag are provided to each
student at the beginning of the Workshop.

6.5. Preparation of the Workshop venue

Together with the Workshop organizer, ensure the venue has the following:

• Flipcharts - one per group (the group should consist of 2 or 3 students) and one for the
trainer
• Flipchart pens - for each group and for the trainer
• Blue/white tack or tape to attach flipcharts to the wall
• Computer for the presentation
• Projector
• 3 tables to be set out in cabaret set-up (3 separate tables positioned facing the trainer), with
clear views of the projection screen. If this is not possible, a U-shaped layout, with groups sat
together would be the second option, particularly for groups of 3 students
• (if the weather is hot) Turn on the air conditioning unit
• Pen for each student

7. Delivering the Workshop

7.1. Rules related to students

Make sure you comply with these rules, and inform the students about them as appropriate:

• Maximum allowed number of students per one Workshop is 10; there is no minimum
required number of students.
• Only the students that have completed the whole Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer online
course are allowed to take the Workshop.
• Workshop organizer will provide you with the Attendee list, naming the students that are
allowed to take the Workshop. You must ask the students to sign the Attendee list at the
beginning of the Workshop.

CONFIDENTIAL - INTERNAL USE ONLY

• Do not allow the student to join the Workshop if they are more than 5 minutes late.
• Only the students that have attended the whole duration of the Workshop are allowed to
take the exam.
• In order for students to get the Lead Auditor or Lead Implementer certificate, they must take
the online exam after the Workshop.
• For the Lead Auditor Workshop: the price of the Workshop includes the Workshop
attendance and all workshop materials + access to online exam + access to the course script.
• For the Lead Implementer Workshop: the price of the Workshop includes the Workshop
attendance and all workshop materials + access to video tutorials for filling out the
documents + access to the course script + access to online exam.

7.2. When starting the Workshop

• Check if each student has brought the following to the Workshop:

o official ID with photo
o full text of the standard they are interested in (e.g. ISO 9001)
• Welcome everybody
• Present yourself
• Present the set of rules
• Make clear to all students they must attend the full duration of the Workshop to be able to
attend the exam
• Present the Session plan and the objectives for the workshop
• Ask for questions about how the workshop is organized and answer them
• Make everyone present themselves - it will make it easier for students to participate in
exercises later on
• Confirm coffee-break and lunch timing and location
• Ask the students to sign the Attendee list
• Organize students in groups – each group should have 2 or 3 students

7.3. During the Workshop

As mentioned before, the objective of the workshop is not to teach new theory to the students – the
objectives are to enhance student understanding through interactive exercises and real-life examples
and to prepare them for the exam.

A good Workshop trainer:

• Engages students, encourages involvement and provides feedback and comments

• Is always available for answering questions about the case and the exercise, for that reason
he/she is always wandering around the groups, smoothing frictions and focusing students on
the exercise
• The trainer is always open to different points of view and conveys to students a mindset of
being focused on objectives and open to different alternatives
• Keeps control of the schedule
• Invites everybody to participate

• Does not leave any loose ends - if any doubt exists, the trainer needs to clarify it, otherwise
the students will have bad results at the exam

During the Workshop you need to perform the following:

• Take a group photo of all the students

• Take a photo of the venue as it looks during the Workshop
• Make sure you follow the Workshop Session Plan and deliver the Workshop according to the
Manual

7.4. After the Workshop

After the workshop, you need to hand the following over to the Workshop organizer:

• Attendee list where your signature + all the signatures of the students will be visible
• Group photo of all the students
• Photo of the venue as it looked during the Workshop

8. Document owner and period of review

The owner of this document is Advisera Training Manager, who must check and, if necessary, update
the document at least once a year.

The Workshop organizer is responsible for preparing materials such as the attendee list, session plans, workbooks, and name tags. These materials support the organizational flow of the Workshop and ensure that students have the necessary resources to participate fully in the learning activities, which enhances the overall effectiveness of the Workshop .

The primary objectives of the Workshops are to explain any uncertainties students might have after attending the online courses, to enhance their understanding through interactive exercises and real-life examples, and to prepare them for the exam. The Workshops do not aim to teach new theory, as students should have already learned the theoretical components through the online courses .

The success of a Workshop trainer is measured by student satisfaction levels, determined through a questionnaire sent to students via email. This feedback mechanism allows Advisera to assess the trainer’s performance and ensure that the Workshops meet educational standards and student expectations .

Workshop venue preparation involves setting up flipcharts, ensuring access to a computer and projector, and arranging tables in a cabaret or U-shaped layout for effective communication and engagement. Flipchart pens, a projector, and an air conditioning unit (if needed) should also be prepared. This setup is important to foster a conducive learning environment, encourage interaction, and ensure clear visibility of instructional materials, all of which are critical for achieving the workshop’s learning objectives .

Group dynamics are crucial in Workshops for fostering collaborative learning and peer interaction. The trainer manages group dynamics by organizing students into groups of 2 or 3, facilitating exercises, and wandering around to ensure smooth interactions. By encouraging involvement and being open to different viewpoints, the trainer ensures that students remain focused and engaged, thereby enhancing learning outcomes .

The Workshop trainer must download the Session Plan, Workbook containing presentation slides and exercise materials, Workshop PowerPoint presentation, and scripts for online courses from the Advisera Knowledgebase at least 7 days before the Workshop. Having these materials prepared beforehand ensures that the trainer is well-organized and able to deliver a streamlined and effective Workshop that aligns with the program objectives .

Group and venue photos taken during Workshops serve purposes beyond mere documentation. They can be used for promotional material, training evaluations, and future planning by providing visual evidence of the Workshop setup and participation levels. These photos help in enhancing brand image and showcasing the learning environment, serving as a tool for marketing and improving workshop design and delivery strategies .

Advisera structures communication with Workshop trainers via the Advisera Knowledgebase, which allows trainers to ask questions and submit comments or complaints. If the Knowledgebase is inaccessible, the Advisera Training Manager will send all necessary materials and answer questions via email .

Key roles in Workshop delivery include the Advisera Training Manager, Workshop provider, Workshop organizer, Workshop trainer, and Advisera experts. Effective coordination among these roles is vital for success, as it ensures seamless organization, delivery, and ongoing support for Workshop activities. Such coordination facilitates resource availability, maintains instructional quality, and addresses student concerns efficiently .

It is critical for students to attend the entire Workshop session as only those who complete the full duration are eligible to take the exam. This rule ensures that students receive the full benefit of the interactive learning experience and are adequately prepared for the exam through complete participation in all Workshop activities and discussions .
