Instructions & CV Guidelines
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
LOGIN:
‐ For first time login, users need to use their Entry Number as the User ID. Password for training will be
Entry Number + ‘T’ & Password for Placements will be Entry Number + ‘P’. You may change your
password after logging in.
‐ For eg: Username‐ 20**ABCXXXXX ‐‐‐‐‐where ** denotes your Entry Year (UG‐5 Digits, PG‐ 4 digits)
‐ Password‐ 20**ABCXXXXXT ABC denotes your Program Code
‐ 20**ABCXXXXXP XXXXX denotes your Unique ID
‐ T For training , P for Placemet
BROWSER SPECIFICATIONS:
‐ For full functionality of the portal, please use the latest version of Google Chrome.
‐ It is not mobile friendly.
CREATING RESUME:
Kindly follow all instructions as given in guide on portal
‐ After Logging in, you first need to fill in all the details in Personal Information tab. You will not be
allowed to create resume without filling in these details.
‐ Please enter your most frequently used Email ID & Phone Number since it will be used to directly
contact you. Kindly note if we are unable to contact you due to incorrect contact details, T&P would
not be liable.
‐ When you enter the GPA in Academic Details (for non‐IIT Delhi details only), please mention the scale
along with your GPA. e.g. ‐ if your GPA is 8 on a scale of 10, then while filling in this information, write
8/10. Also, in case Aggregate Marks (%) are to be mentioned, mention the Total Aggregate (%) & NOT
the best 3 or best 4 Aggregate (%).
‐ You can generate CVs using the Create Resume Tab and following the given instructions.
‐ You can create a maximum of 6 different resumes for different profiles.
‐ You must create these resumes before the CV deadline. These resumes cannot be edited or updated
after the deadline.
‐ For each resume, the academic details stay fixed. Rest all is optional. You may choose to show any
course / publication / award / scholastic achievement / internship/ work experience / project / extra‐
curricular activity / position of responsibility or completely omit a section (Practical training / IIT Thesis
/ JEE Rank / GATE / JAM/CEED/GRE / TOEFL all optional).
DOCUMENTS VERIFICATION
Scanned copies of original documents to be uploaded on the portal. All documents should be merged into
one single PDF and each document should reflect the purpose of its submission(Do not put random file
names).
One single PDF with size not exceeding 5MB is to be uploaded in the manage documents tab, under
verification document category.
The documents required to be submitted for verification should include copies of:
• IIT Delhi Identity Card
• 10th & 12th Mark Sheet
• Degrees prior to IIT Delhi (if any)
• Work Experience Certificate (if any)
• JEE Mains Rank (if mentioned in CV)
• GATE Rank (if any)
• Any other rank mentioned in CV
• Publications – Certificate of Acceptance & abstract of publication
• Patents‐ FITT file number should be attached with the mention of the name of the supervisor.
• Certificates for every award and honour
• Certificates for scholastic achievement
• Certificate for every Internship
• Certificate for any prizes / significant contributions mentioned in Extra‐Curricular Activities
• Certificate for every significant position of responsibility whose information is not provided to T&P by
the Board/Club (if mentioned in CV)
Also, on a single page mention mail‐id, name & designation of the person who has verified your points via
Email.
You must add all documents relevant to the content of your resume. The above list is not exhaustive.
Remember: Unless the documents have been verified, one would not be able to apply.
T&P Registration and Application to Companies
All students willing to register to be a part of T&P Processes need to accept the Policy Acknowledgement
Form on the portal. Only after you have accepted the form, you will be able to view and apply to companies
on campus. No student can interact with or be a part of a process for any ‘Company on Campus’, without
submitting the acceptance of Form.
Any student found using services of T&P/interacting with the company, without accepting the Policy
Acknowledgement Form would be liable for strict disciplinary action, minimum of which is debarment from
all further T&P processes.
After Acceptance of Policy Acknowledgement Form, details of all the companies coming on campus
(separated based on profiles ‐ Analytics, Consulting, Core, Finance, and Information Technology etc.) would
be visible to all the students. However, you will be able to apply only to those companies who will make your
programme eligible for the various profiles. Whenever you click on 'Submit Application', your resume will be
visible to the company. However, you will be able to withdraw and apply any number of times but only till
the last date of application.
CV Guidelines
All the verification mails (if needed) should be sent to placement@[Link]
If any statement/event/work included in the CV is not supported by the relevant proofs before deadlines
(CV deadline in case of mails and document submission deadline in case of other proofs), you will be asked
to remove the lines. No further addition to the CV would be allowed.
All original certificates should be readily available with you & should be produced during the time of
document verification.
1) Only present overall department rank can be written
a. Semester Department Rank or PG CGPA for Dual students is not allowed.
b. CGPA is automatically provided by the system. You should not write it separately.
2) IIT Delhi Chapters
a. CV Points for All IIT Delhi chapters which are to be included, need to be registered with IIT
Delhi officially. The approvals of the same need to be received by an official authority of the
organization and not the student head.
3) Internships (Kindly refer to circular sent on 4 July, 2018 – attached in Annexure)
a. All internships entered on the T&P system will be verifiable from the system. In case students
wish to write any additional details regarding their internship;
The same must be verified by the company mentor from his/her OFFICIAL e‐mail id only.
b. For internships registered on T&P portal Copy of yellow form should be received in T&P
Office before the CV deadline in case you wish to mention it on your CV.
c. All work‐from‐home internships should be clearly mentioned in the CV.
Further, any internships done other than the vacation period (May‐July or December) will be
considered as work from home or project. The same will need to be specified along with the
title.
d. For all internships not entered on the T&P system, a verification email from company official
id of the mentor as well as a copy of the offer letter will be required.
e. Any figures (e.g. cost efficiency etc.) reported need to be verified by the supervisor of the
internship as per the e‐mail communication (attached in appendix)
f. Students are not permitted to show more than one internship or project or activity during a
given duration
g. For PG students who did internships during their UG degree, a certificate on the letterhead of
the company / a verification email from company official id of the mentor would be required.
4) Projects
a. For projects, no individual verification is required except in cases where figures or efficiencies
are reported. It needs to be submitted through an e‐mail of the professor stating the same.
b. For course projects, mention it clearly in the CV.
c. For projects that will be commencing now or are on‐going, use present continuous tense.
5) Publications / Patents / Conferences
a. Any submitted papers/conference/reports which are under review cannot be included in the
resume
b. Accepted published papers/ conferences and patents can be included with their status as
accepted or published mentioned along with title.
c. Patents applied through FITT (File number should be mentioned) will be accepted alongwith
the verification via an Email by FITT MD or a faculty/supervisor who is having the knowledge
of the same. Without this information, no patent will be allowed to be mentioned in your CV.
6) PORs
a. For all the POR’s, points are to be sent by the professor in‐charge of the concerned
Club/Board. No individual submissions for the same shall be entertained.
b. For current POR holders, in case the student does‐not perform the stated/verified activities
in the due time, he/she will be required remove the points.
c. Any budgetary/monetary figures for institute PORs cannot be quoted in CV.
d. For IIT Delhi clubs which are not under the purview of any professor as authority, no points
would be allowed as a part of Position of Responsibility
e. Any position which is not related to IIT Delhi, must be supported with an e‐mail from the
concerned authority from their official e‐mail id.
f. Activity heads/ Team heads/ volunteers will not be allowed as a Position of Responsibility – if
you wish to mention it, you may write it under Extra Curricular section.
7) Extra‐Curricular Activities: All inter‐hostel/intra‐hostel participation have been received by wardens
of hostels. No individual submissions shall be entertained in this regard. All Institute level activities
need to be approved by respective boards.
8) Foreign Exchange: Only those students who went for foreign exchange can mention it. Other selected
students who did not accept it will not allowed to mention the same
9) Minor Degree:
Minor Degree can be mentioned on the CV only if 10+ credits towards earning the minor
degree have been completed. Further, the format for mentioning this will be Completed XX
credits out of a minimum 20 credits that is required to be eligible for a minor in XXX,
(provided this is verified by the UG Section).
10) No alterations in any form of information provided in the certificates will be allowed. Ex. Olympiad
Names should be written as mentioned in the certificates.
11) TA scholarship should not be quoted as an award or under any achievements.
12) Contact details are not allowed to be written in any part of CV.
13) Any UG/PG section related points (other than Department Rank or Department change or Foreign
Exchange) need to be supported by the letter‐ head/certificate from the section.
14) Any kind of figures for audience crowd cannot be quoted in the CV. Any other figures of any kind will
need verification of related kind.
15) All students writing foreign internships in their CV’s could be asked to show original Visa of their visits
if required.
16) For events, only the top three positions will be accepted (if verified). Positions below third in any
competition will not be allowed. Participation can be mentioned and will be accepted (if verified).
17) Ranks may be mentioned for National level exams like Olympiads etc.
18) In case students are under any disciplinary probation, please mind the restrictions imposed on you
strictly. In case of any discrepancies, the matter will be escalated to the institute for appropriate
action.
19) Finally, at the time of verification; only deletion of flagged points will be allowed. No
additions/change will be allowed under any circumstances.

No documents will be accepted after the deadlines.

ALL students are hereby advised to follow the following process to get their internship points verified
for CV purposes.
Kindly note that ALL students who have gone for any internship or project till date ‐ and wish to
include it in their CV at any time during their stay at IIT Delhi ‐ be it for internships or full‐time
placements ‐ would need to follow this process. CV points for this year or previous years will not be
entertained in any subsequent year so students are strongly advised to get all points verified within
this deadline.
For internships registered on T&P portal:
1. Copy of yellow form should be received in T&P Office before the CV deadline in case you wish to
mention it on your CV.
2. The intern supervisor / verifying authority at the organisation you are interning at needs to send
an email to T&P verifying details of the project to be included. (Kindly note: Only emails from official
company IDs will be entertained. Any communication from personal IDs like gmail / hotmail / yahoo /
outlook / similar domains will not be considered)
3. In case the verifying authority is different from the T&P contact kindly send an e‐mail from your
official IITD E‐mail ID. You also need to mention the complete address and contact details of the
verifying authority in the organisation you interned at. In case the verifying authority and the T&P
contact are different clarify both names and roles in this e‐mail.
For internships NOT registered on T&P portal:
* Submit a scanned copy of Offer Letter and Certificate of Internship (with valid company
stamp or on company letter‐head) from your official IITD E‐mail ID. You also need to mention the
complete address and contact details of the verifying authority in the organisation you
interned at. In case the verifying authority and intern supervisor are different clarify both names and
roles in this e‐mail.
* The intern supervisor / verifying authority at the organisation you are interning at needs to
send an email to T&P verifying the duration of internship (Start and End date) as well as details of the
project to be included. (Kindly note: Only emails from official company IDs will be
entertained. Any communication from personal IDs like gmail / hotmail / yahoo / outlook / similar
domains will not be considered).
