AFFIDAVIT

I, MARGANI SAMLA Y ABDURAHIM, Filipino citizen, of legal age, married, and a


resident of Purok 7, Barangay Recodo, Zamboanga City, after having been duly sworn in
accordance with law, hereby depose and say:

1. That I am a good friend of the victim, MUKZSAJAR ADNAMI Y SALIH, whom I


treated like my own son.

2. That although we are close friends, I had a serious conflict with his brother prior the
incident because I was alleged to be having affairs with his wife.

3. That on February 28, 2011, at about 9:20am, I was at my residence when my neighbor,
Ms. Eloise Perez, went to my house and informed me that there will be a possible raid in
the area.

4. That after having such knowledge, it prompted me to immediately go to my friend’s


boarding house to inform him of the news.

5. That on that day, I was wearing my t-shirt and pants, and without any bag whatsoever.

6. That at around 9:30am, I was caught on a CCTV camera of a nearby store while I was on
my way to my friend’s boarding house.

7. That upon arriving at the boarding house at around 9:50am, I saw the lifeless body of the
victim, and because of panic and concern, I approached the corpse to check if my friend
is still alive or not.

8. That a few moments later, the police arrived and their intimidating presence caused me
to panic and flee from the scene.

9. That after leaving the place, I went to the bus station at around 11am and boarded a bus
to Ipil out of fear and panic that I will be framed up of the crime.

10. That two days after arrival in Ipil, I got a stroke and my attending physician was Dr.
Charmaine Vasquez.

11. That since then, I have been in physical therapy for almost 2 years and unfit to travel.

12. That after 2 years, on May 6, 2013, I went back to Zamboanga and to my surprise, I was
arrested when I arrived.
