Characteristics of the Early Church

The early Christian church was founded after Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection. His followers believed he was the son of God and spread his teachings. They lived in small communities, devoted themselves to prayer, fellowship, and breaking bread together. Over time, Christianity spread beyond Jerusalem and the apostles traveled teaching about Jesus. The Romans persecuted Christians for their beliefs, but Constantine legalized Christianity and called the Council of Nicaea to establish core doctrines, resulting in the Nicene Creed.

Why is it important for Christians that Jesus is more than a

man? This is important because they want to believe that
he was mighty and all powerful, that he had powers to
make blind me see. Most importantly they want to say he is
the son of god that has been blessed with almighty powers.
