The examination of the herein witness is being conducted by Atty. Juan
De La Cruz, at its office located at Lyceum of the Philippines University, 109
LP Leviste St. Salcedo Village, Makati City on October 15, 2019. The
witness is answering the questions asked of him in English Language which
he is knowledgeable and conversant, fully conscious that he does so under
oath and that he may face criminal liability for perjury or false testimony.
Purpose: The testimony of the witness is being offered to prove the
defenses stated in the Answer; and to prove that the defendant did not
committed the act complained of and that HE should not be held liable for
committing the act complained of. He will also identify pertinent documents
to the instant case.
I, ALVIE S. MELO, of legal age, married, and a resident 456 B Carola
St., Sampaloc, Manila, after having been duly sworn to in accordance with
law, do hereby depose and state:
Q1: Mr. Witness why are you here before this Honorable Court?
A1: To testify regarding the pending case of my neighbor friendS.
Q2: Who is your neighbor? Please elaborate.
A2: Mr. Karl Ramo and Cynthia Ramo
Q3: How long did you know them?
A3: Since August 1986 Sir.

Q4: So Mr. Witness you are aware or atleast have some
knowledge of their day to day living?
A4: Yes Sir, based on what I usually see.
Q5: Mr. Witness, are your two neighbor friend legally married?
A5: Yes, Sir. During the early stage of their marriage, when Karl
was still in the Philippines, I always see that both them
wearing gold, simple ring, which I think wedding rings.
Q6: How many children do they have?
A6: Two.
Q7: During their marriage, does it come to your knowledge ant
problem between the spouses?
A7: None Sir.
Q8: Are you aware that KARL the husband went to Hong Kong?
A8: Yes, Sir.
Q9: For what purpose is he have to go to Hong Kong?
A9: To look for a job.
Q10: What job?
A10: He works as a OFW.
Q11: Is it true that KARL abandoned his family?
A11: No Sir.
Q12: How do you say that?
A12: KARL, always remit money for his family, in fact a door to
door money transfer are monthly deliver to them.
Q13: How do you say that?
A13: I saw a man, same man for every month giving a brown
envelop to Cythia, and Karl told me that was the agent of the
money transfer.
Q14: Are you aware that Karl got involved to a relationship with
someone in Hong Kong?
A14: Yes, Sir.
Q16: Are you aware that 1 Million was withdrawn by Cynthia
without the knowledge of Karl?
A16: No Sir.
