circulated as physical copies in forms we call books, newspapers, magazines and newsletters.
They hold informative and entertaining content that is of general or special interest. They are
published either once or daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, bimonthly or quarterly. Print media
has the advantage of making a longer impact on the minds of the reader, with
more in-depth reporting and analysis.

ADVANTAGES OF PRINT MEDIA:-

[Link]:

Traditional print media is at an advantage for providing detailed, local news and advertising for
small-time businesses and events. For example, a sale at a local car tire shop would reach its
audience if advertised in a local newspaper or announced on fliers that were distributed around a
community. It would not make sense to advertise the same sale on a nationally syndicated radio
program, and the ad would probably never be seen on most websites, because there is very little
local aspect to those media venues.
[Link] Technology Required

Print media is still the preferred media source for many individuals who can not or do not want to
work with current technology or do not have access to technological items. Print media is also less
likely than digital media to cause eye strain when used over long periods of time.

3. Cost

Newspapers cost a dollar or two, most paperback books cost under $15. In contrast,
even the most basic computers cost several hundred dollars and the various forms of e-
readers typically run over $100. While you will save money over time using these
technologies, the initial cost of print media items tends to be much lower

DISADVANTAGES OF PRINT MEDIA:-

 Lots of paper is used in such production.

 Some people can't read, but everyone can understand English. (well not the illegals, but still) And is
therefore more accessible to more people.
 People don't wanna take the time out of their day to sit down and read the latest when they can listen to it on
their iPod on the way to work.
