I. Objectives

At the end of the 30 minutes period, the pupil should be able to:
1. Identify the different sense organs of the body.
2. Match the sense organs of the body with each function through the use of pictures.
3. Appreciate the importance of sense organs in our body by taking care of it.

B. Motivation

Class, please stand up. (Pupils will stand up)

We are going to sing. Are you ready? Yes, teacher.

(Sense organ song to the tune of Itsy bitsy spider) (Pupils will sing the song)
We have five sense organs, we use them everyday.
These are the eyes, skin, nose, tongue and ears. Eyes
use for seeing, skin use for feeling. We use these
kinds of organs to see, to feel the things. We have
five sense organs, we use them everyday. These are
the eyes, skin, nose, tongue and ears. Nose use for
smelling, tongue use for tasting. We use these kinds
of organs to smell, to taste the food. We have five
sense organs, we use them everyday. These are the
eyes, skin, nose, tongue and ears. Last is the ears
and which is use for hearing. We complete the five
sense organs to use it everyday

Ok class, do you see anything? Yes, teacher.


What are those? Table, chair, my classmates and you Teacher.

Do you hear anything? Yes, teacher.


What do you hear? Sound of birds, voice of my classmate and
your voice teacher.

Do you smell anything? No, teacher.


(Spray some cologne)
Now do you smell anything? Yes, teacher.
What did you smell? Smell of perfume, teacher.

Did you eat your breakfast? Yes, teacher.


What does it taste? It’s delicious.

Class, touch the table. (Pupils will touch the table)


What do you feel? It’s hard teacher.

Thank you class. Now, you may take your seats. Thank you teacher.
C. Lesson Proper

(Shows pictures on the board)

Class what is this? Eyes.

(Pointing the nose) Nose.

(Pointing the ears) Ears.

(Pointing the tongue) Tongue.

(Pointing the hand) Hand.

Very good.

So class those are called sense organs.


We have 5 sense organs in our body namely the
eyes, nose, ears, tongue, and hand or skin. Each
organ has its function.
We use our eyes to see the things around us.
(pointing my eyes)

We use our nose to smell the scent.


(pointing my nose)

We use our ears to hear the sounds.


(pointing my ears)

We use our tongue to taste the food.


(pointing my tongue)

And we use our skin to feel.

So again class, what are the uses of our sense
organs?

Our eyes? To see.

Ears? To hear the sound.

Nose? To smell.

Our tongue? To taste the food.

Our skin? To feel.

Now, how are we going to take care of our sense


organs?

For eyes, we use clean towel or cloth in wiping the


eyes.

For nose, do not smell dangerous scent.

For ears, do not use sharp object in cleaning the


ears.

For tongue, brush your teeth and tongue properly.

For our skin, take a bath everyday and do not over


expose your skin to sunlight.

D. Generalization

So class again, what do we use to taste the food? Tongue.

To hear the sound? Ears.

To see the things around us? Eyes.

To feel the things? Skin/Hand.

And to smell the scent? Nose.

How are we going to take care of our eyes? Use a clean cloth to wipe the eyes.

For our skin? Take a bath everyday.

Nose? Don’t smell dangerous scent.


Tongue? Brush the teeth and tongue.

And our ears? Do not use sharp object to clean the ears.

What will happen if we don’t have those sense We are incomplete.
