Part 2. Simple Past - Had
We use Had when we refer to the past, to talk
about Objects or things we possessed but now we
don't. Or thing we didn't possess.
Affirmative sentences
I + Had + Possession
Ex: When I was 7 years old, I had a blue bicycle.
When I was younger, I had a dog. It's name was
Firulais.
Negative Sentences
I + didn't have + possession
Ex: When I was 7 years old, I didn't have a blue
bicycle.
When I was younger, I didn't have a dog. I had a cat.
Making Questions
Did you have a dog?
Yes, I did.
No, I didn't.
Did you have a lot of toys when you were younger?
Yes, I did.
No, I didn't.
