HUMAN COMPUTER INTERACTION (MMG 3033)

SEMESTER 2 SESSION 2018/2019

ASSIGNMENT 1 (GRAPHICAL USER INTERFACE)

You are required to select three (3) information systems, for example MyUPSI Portal, MyGURU
and MySIS. Based on your selection, criticize accordingly based on the target user and user
interface (content design, navigation design, screen and window design, the selection of
interaction design and message errors design).

Then, you need to propose a printed version interface due to the enhancement of these
systems (must cater all the drawbacks/disadvantages of previous systems). However, some
limited functionality (such as dummy output) is expected in order to demonstrate the ability of
the system. Database backend is not necessary.

Do note that the purpose of this assignment focuses on the user interface and what goes into
the entire design process that will give it a certain look and feel. A fully functional system is
not expected to be produced.
