1-THE SNOW. Today is Tuesday, November the 29th. The
Gryn children are very excited because their parents are
coming back home.
The children are waiting for their parents to come. They
are outside, so they can see their parents' car. They have
coats, boots, and umbrellas because it is winter in London,
and it is very cold.
Today the sky is very grey and it is raining. Yesterday the
sky was blue and the sun was shining. Tom is telling Jane
that tomorrow it will snow.

2-SHOPPING. The Gryns are coming home from Africa.
But before going home they are stopping in Paris to
shop.
They are staying at the Sheraton Hotel. Mr. Gryn knows
Paris well. He often comes when he is working, and he
always stays at the Sheraton.
Mrs. Gryn comes to Paris once a year. She likes to shop in
Paris because there are many boutiques where clothes
don't cost very much. Now the Gryns are going into a
boutique.

3-THE RIVER. The Gryns are in the jungle, near


a river, together with the other people from
the safari.

There are many animals around them. To the left of


them there is a lion, and near the lion, a monkey. Far
away we can see an elephant. To the right there is a
zebra and a giraffe. Near Mrs. Gryn's foot there is a
mouse.

It is almost dark, and they are going to cross the river.


They can either swim or take a boat. They are going to
take a boat because there is a crocodile in the river and
because the river is very wide. Mr. and Mrs. Gryn think
that they are going back home soon. They are feeling
very tired.

THE SAFARI. Mr. and Mrs. Gryn are going on holiday.


They are going on a safari to the jungle in Africa.

Now they are preparing to go. They are buying many


things that they need to live outside. Mr. Gryn has a
backpack, a sleeping bag, a knife, a tent, and a jungle
hat. Mrs. Gryn has a new jacket, boots, a watch, and
food in tins.

They are going to travel by aeroplane to Africa and then


they are going to the jungle by boat and jeep. Jane, Tom
and Bill are not going to Africa. They are staying at home.
