Compare and Contrast: Creation Science and Panspermia

Where do we actually come from? A question that really give me a confusion. There are

many different theories that appeared but is these all true? Two of them are Creation Science and

Panspermia theory.

Creation Science may also called special creation theory, scientific creationism and

intelligent design that has a proponent named Henry Morris, a father of modern creation science.

It state that life on earth was created by God. It is a special acts of Divine Creation which is

created by an intelligent being and with a design in mind. In the year 2005, Kitzmiller and Dover

argued in courts that intelligent design is a form of creationism and may be taught as an

alternative to the evolutionary theory. It has its criticism so called Pseudoscience because it

contained the no scientific hypothesis, lack of empirical support and “untestable” supernatural

causes. Creation Science have also an evidentiary arguments that support its posits, the creation

ex nihilo, young earth theory, baraminology, flood geology and intelligent design.

On the other hand, Panspermia theory states that life originated from outer space. It was

put forth by Francis Crick and Leslie Orgel. Panspermia is a Greek word that translates literally

as "seeds everywhere". Its hypothesis states that the "seeds" of life exist all over the Universe and

can be propagated through space from one location to another. Some believe that life on Earth

may have originated through these "seeds". There are three popular variations of Panspermia

hypotheses, the directed panspermia, lithopanspermia and the ballistic panspermia. It does not

provide an explanation for evolution or attempt pinpoint the origin of life in the Universe, but it
does attempt to solve the mysteries of the origin of life on Earth and the transfer of life

throughout the Universe.

Both theories tells about how human started and created but the difference is that

creation science was based on the bible and panspermia tells that we are came from outer space.

Overall, I must prefer in creation science. In my opinion, it’s more believable that our

lives are came from God than from aliens. It’s hard to believe that we are come from outer space

and a seed of microbes that came from aliens. And I think most of the people believe in creation

science because it’s come from the Bible which is the basis of it.
