A comedy film is a movie with humorous situations that tries to provoke

the laughter of the audience. It is one of the most important and popular
cinematographic genres.

the first great comic of the screen. From the beginning, films were
created that showed images that made the spectator happy or
laughing, even if they were not accompanied by the sound
In these comedies, almost all Americans were used the persecutions,
the blows, the falls, the surprises of the personages, to get the attention
of the public. Mention deserve the innumerable tapes with crazy and
very fast police persecutions.
Among the important names in silent comedy cinema are Charles Chaplin, Mack
Sennett, Roscoe Fatty,  Buster Keaton,  Harold Lloyd
